Week 8 (Big Sky week 4)

Last week went 4-1 straight up and 4-1 versus the spread (griz covered by .5 right at the end to keep me from going 5-0).

Overall 14-2 straight, 12-4 versus the spread on the season.

Big Sky went heavy on giving a teams byes in the first few weeks but after this all teams will have taken their day off.

Weber St @ PSU(+1) Basically a pick-em in Hillsboro. I had PSU as the worst team in the preseason. No reason to bail on that prediction now  Weber St

Idaho @ EWU(+8) Idaho's defense is getting exposed... and getting worse. Don't know if they gets Wood back for this game and knowing that would play a pretty big role in a prediction here. Idaho wins but in a close one so EWU covers

UNC @ Sac St(-11) Game of the week. Which team gets to a winning record and which one falls back after a big win. It feels like Sac is starting to come together a bit but UNC is second in the conference in total Defense. I think this a lower scoring game than these 2 played last week  I take the home team to win but UNC hasn't lost by double digits all season so they cover.

Bonus game (not Big Sky so it doesn't count versus the overall)
Sacred Heart @ Montana(-30.5) Griz are gonna roll but do you think a back door will be left open? That is a huge number and would be a stay away but i think the griz heard the noise about not winning decisive. Griz cover in a ugly one

Weber State @ Portland State > Weber State

Idaho @ EWU > Eastern

UNC @ Sac State > UNC

Sacred Heart > UM > UM

Nope. SH is a VERY good football team. They'd probably be Top 4 in the Big Sky. Or whatever.

Looks like they will pull away, but a one score lead in the 4th?? They should be concerned.

I'm sure the griz will move up two spots in the polls after their dominating win.

Griz are a product of their schedule. The one good team they played outplayed them everywhere except the score. The Cats should win comfortably on the 22nd.

I agree, but Cats probably should have won there in 2023 too and got smoked.

lol, SO predictable! Glanced at egriz to see what some posters were saying. Granted, some of them realize the Griz really aren't that good, but then there's posts like this:

"Sacred heart was good. They have a good record and were in 2 games against top 10 teams. They’ll be a playoff bubble team."

Hilarious that the griz are 7-0. They are a very average team.

I think it’s going to get ugly for them next week at sac state

I've watched too many gris teams that looked super mediocre win ugly all the way through the playoffs. I wouldn't take that bet.

Idaho losing to EWU at the half. If that holds they will join PSU as the only 0-3 BSC teams. Woof. Kinda underscores how good of a coach Eck was.

They’ve made it past their second playoff game what… once in a decade and a half? They aren’t what they used to be and without Bergen willing them to wins in ‘23, their last quarterfinal was a very long time ago.

Now you did it, Wortham is 100% capable of doing what Bergen did. We’re going to see them stick around a game they have no business sticking around and Wortham’s going to win it for them, a la Bergen.

Wortham is better than Bergen. He’s a stud.

No argument here. Like I posted earlier in this forum if they hadn’t gotten him they would be 5-2 at the very best.

Haha. Nothing like a millennial telling you someone is better due to recency bias. Look at his stats at EWU the prior two years. He is having a good year, nothing less nothing more. And yes he is good for sure, but Bergen did it for 3 plus years.
