Ok...time to focus our attention on this weeks opponent - Adams State. What do we know about them? All I know is that they are 0-2 so far. Someone please give us some info.
Also, anyone know what the depth chart is looking like for this Saturday?

I won't profess to know anything about Adams St., but this is a team that any top i-aa team should not only be able to handle, but should use to gauge and solidfy all facets of its game. So winning isn't so much the objective as building confidence and ironing out details. MSU needs to be able to exploit and shut down Adams throughout the first half, then shuttle in the reserves during the second half.

Why not start the game with the third team. This team isn't as good as a scrimmage and won't tell anything. Who is responsible for scheduling? It's a joke.

62Griz: I believe it was the same people who scheduled Wyoming for the opener last year, Colorado State for later this season and Oklahoma State next year. It's averaging things out. It is truly unfortunate that you aren't happy with Adams State, though. I guess that means you won't be attending the game in Bozeman. What a tragic loss for the MSU budget!
Of course, in reality, it isn't a joke to play a D-II (or nonscholarship I-AA, which is generally even worse) program (everybody does it, including you know who) -- it's just a joke to lose to them. That won't happen. Those days are behind us.
Besides, I'm more than happy to get a win (any win) early in the season. A little positive momentum to begin the season isn't a bad thing at all (for a change).
I'm not going to worry about jinxing the Cats on this one. They'll win easy, and everyone will get a chance to work into their new roles for the upcoming critical games.

I noticed that they were picked in a tie with Western State for their conference. Western State was shut out by Portland State something like 40-0....so we should do approximately the same thing to Adams. That might be a barometer.

I remember playing these guys 2 years ago. I think we won something like 31-6, but in less than spectacular fashion. Our offense really sputtered. I remember posting on one of these message boards that we better pray that Tyler Thomas never gets hurt, because our two backups-Lulay and Owens didn't look very good. Of course later on Lulay assumed the starting QB position and the rest is history.

Well, you had to be wrong at least once in your life -- this was as good a thing as any to be wrong about!

As Tyler Thomas might say, "Adams State is just the appetizer before the main course."
Dohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
