So this game is first up on Saturday so I figured a thread to discuss it was needed. AND BEFORE some yahoo burst in and says 1-0, can't look ahead of the game this weekend, go kick rocks. We are a message board. Nothing we post here has any bearing on what happens on Saturday. No one here is dressing out for the game.

Who do you think takes it? Who do you want to win it?

I think the Jacks get this go around. It really felt like the first marker the Jacks played way to cautious. It was like they were playing not to lose than playing to win. Their defense has found a different level and is physical, fast and scary. Wilde is a matchup problem.

Its those things I said that make me feel like NDSU would be an easier matchup in Frisco. The Bison have had a defense that has given up points several times this season. Last week aside (Mercer's offense is TERRIBLE), they've given up 31, 29, 21, 19 in the last month and a half. None of those team had an offense nearly as potent as the Cats. They have a couple smaller good receivers but no one with the skills of Wilde. A matchup against SDSU would be strength on strength.

I think SDSU is playing better right now so they're my pick on Saturday. I want NDSU to win for the same reason.

They’re both really good and wouldn’t be easy matchups. I just think SDSU is the better of the two.

Interesting fact…..the winner of this game will play the winner of our game vs South Dakota.

SDSU made mistake after mistake in the first game. NDSU made a few too, but not as many. SDSU is absolutely thr better team. I'm thinking they win low 20s to mid teens.

I'm with everyone else. I think SDSU will win but I'd rather face NDSU. Not because I think we have a better chance against them but because I'd rather beat them after all the times they've beaten us in the playoffs over the years.

I don't know who that'll be .....any idea which team would have the least following down to Frisco?

IF we beat USD soundly , I think that'll somewhat discourage the _DSU's from wanting to go IF they think there's a likely hood they'd loose.

SDSU has the best defense in the country. Their offense is better than ot was 2 months ago.

I'm picking NDSU. Miller and Gronowski are a wash IMO and ndsu has better weapons. Sdsu is better defensively, especially in the back end, which may negate the weapons a bit. Bison win in a sold out, raucous Fargo Dome. 27-24.

I 100% get this. I think we exorcise this demon if the Cats get the chance. It doesn't mean I won't have weeks of PTSD leading up to the game.

Maybe true, but I like the home team for this game. I think it will be tough sledding from start to finish for the bunnies.

I noticed a sneaky move by the bizons: there were exactly zero seats left in the entire venue after the season ticket holders had their chance to buy additional seats before the general release. This means the bunnies only have their allotment tucked in the far corner, and they weren't able to purchase even one additional seat. Respect.

Dome field advantage and the Bison's almost incomprehensible luck will play a role in this one. SDSU is the better team, but the better team doesn't always win. As with their first meeting, I hope they beat the snot out of each other.

Ok, but they gave up 13 to NDSU, 10 to USD (the D scored one TD for USD), 7 to UND, 9 to MO St., and 14 to UIW. They've given up more than 14 points three times this year (two in the first two weeks of the season and 18 to UM after being up 35-3 and putting subs in). They are 5th in the country in total D (behind 4 schools from conferences that don't count). We can't complain when people say the Cats D isn't elite, your schedule sucked, then do the same to SDSU.

I think SDSU wins easily. 35-17
