This week's Tuesdays with Tootell may be the most enjoyable episode of all time. Definitely a must listen for everyone here even though we're barely discussed.

We had limited time, and we kinda went off on the Griz game......This next week, Davis & MSU will be the featured game I promise!

Me, too, and they're being kind. I think Tootell said they kept improving in 2023 as the season went along. I thought they digressed back to the norm on offense starting in the Furman game and through the title game. They also didn't mention beating UC Davis when they were without Larison. I think if UM loses that game, they don't get past the semifinals and maybe not the quarters last year. They had a great defense all year.

Those are absolutely crazy numbers. Kind of feel bad for Hall not being able to showoff his excellent punting abilities!

This isn't related to our game this week but it's Colter's thread so I figured it's as good a place as any to bring it up. He had Sam Herder on his show yesterday and the talked about the different scenarios for the griz. I don't understand how they're out if they lose the next two games but they're seeded if they beat PSU and lose to #2 MSU. Would a loss to PSU really move them from a top 16 (probably 10-12) to out completely? I think the committee will find a way to make an argument to slot them in at 23 or 24.

I agree. They are in no matter what.

I admit the committee always loves them, but they shouldn't be in if they lose these next 2. No other 7-5 team with losses to Weber, UND and PSU and no good wins would even sniff the playoffs. Not to mention ending on a 3 game losing streak.

By those metrics they don't deserve a seed if they beat PSU. That's where I see the disconnect. They can't get a seed if they beat PSU but miss out completely if they lose to them.

I think the history of $$ would agree with you. But a 7-5 team with potentially only 1 ranked win (NAU), losses to 2 or 3 teams (depending on UND) with losing records, and ending on a 3-game losing streak would be hard to justify in the field over some others.
