Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions

Let's get this party started. Both teams have more than likely locked up a top 8 seed. The Cats top 6, Davis top 8.
Saturday is the de-facto conference championship game. The winner can have no worse than one conference loss, and everyone else has at least two. Winner gets the auto bid.
Davis is a solid team, no debating that. The big question is, are they on the same level as the Cats? I don't think they are. They have a good but not great OL. We have four RBs who could go for 100 any game, they have one. Hastings is mobile enough, but he's nothing like Tommy. Their defense has been good, but not that good. They are 47th in total defense. The Cats are definitely the better team.
This will be a game where both the pass game and run game need to compliment each other and play off each other for the offense to be successful. The Davis front 7 is good, and they stop the run well. Pounding the rock, wearing down the D and utilizing play action will help propel us to victory.
The Cats D is under appreciated this year. There isn't an offense we have faced that's been anywhere near as good as the rest of their games. The pass D has been particularly strong all year, even against some good passers. Limiting Larison on the ground and through the air will be the biggest key for the defense. I noted in a other thread, Hastings is the least explosive 3000 yard passer I have ever seen. Davis dinks and dunks down the field, and doesn't go after huge plays too often.
If this game was at home, I'd predict a 3 score win. On the road in front of a solid crowd, not 3 scores.
Cats - 38
Agricultural Academics - 23
