The way Sain is playing they should do that if it’s a slam dunk. Obviously if Sain gets injured bring him back. I wouldn’t be surprised if Perkins is all for that based on how team-oriented he seems to be. Sain has been one of MSU’s most valuable players this year. Center could’ve been a big issue and he seems to have made the transition almost seamlessly.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 11:37 amThat's awesome and good to know. Justus Perkins isn't on there. Makes me wonder if we'll keep him out this season, utilize his medical redshirt that Keaton alluded to (if he wants to come back for another year), and start next year. That would be great for this team. His leadership skills are phenomenal.
I think the way EWU is running the ball is another thing to keep an eye on.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 11:48 amThe more pressing issue to me is what is the status of EWU's starting quarterback. I'm guessing we won't really know until gametime.
They ran for 215 vs Idaho, which has had just one game allowing over 144. Ran for 263 vs UM at 6.3 ypp. Ran for 286 vs SAC.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 11:56 amI think the way EWU is running the ball is another thing to keep an eye on.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 11:48 amThe more pressing issue to me is what is the status of EWU's starting quarterback. Surprising you left out one of the more recent games they’ve had because it doesn’t fit your argument.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:33 pmThey ran for 215 vs Idaho, which has had just one game allowing over 144. Their rushing offense is #19th in the FCS, so really not something to take lightly.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:56 pmSurprising you left out one of the more recent games they’ve had because it doesn’t fit your argument.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:33 pmThey ran for 215 vs Idaho, which has had just one game allowing over 144. Might want to clarify that. Ypp, ypg … what stat are you looking at? Continue. You’re flailing more than usual today!BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 3:33 pmThey’re fine. Nothing special. Do you know what every team in the top 5 of the conference in rushing yards per game has in common outside of MSU and UM? They’ve played UM. EWU will be ranked lower than 19 after they play us, I promise.
In conference rushing yards per game. It’s directly in my post, I never even used any abbreviations.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 3:45 pmMight want to clarify that. The first (msu) second, third, fourth, sixth and seventh in ypg haven’t played MSU.
Psu is fifth and hasn’t played UM.
That's right, you had the wrong tab.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 4:00 pmIn conference rushing yards per game. Anyways, I had the wrong tab on the BSC stats, so I was mistaken. Cal Poly is 5th in the conference in rushing yards per game and they haven’t played UM. Otherwise it’s 1) MSU, 2) Weber, 3) UM, 4)EWU, 5) Cal Poly.
I believe it was said that with a medical he can't play. I'm not 100% certain of the rule, but it sounds like it would be a decision of playing in fewer games this season or not playing at all, including playoffs, to qualify for a medical redshirt. Feel free to correct me if I have the wrong interpretation
That’s the way I understood it too. Sounds like he wants to get out there though, essentially burning a chance for medical.Nickisch wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 6:30 pmI believe it was said that with a medical he can't play. Well, I can definitely understand wanting to be a more meaningful part of a potential championship team than being what right now amounts to a GA (no disrespect to Chambers). If that's the case and he's 100% healthy, he absolutely deserves that, considering how much he's contributed to the success of Bobcat football the last 4 years... And our depth on the OL would immediately get a boost with Sain being available back at Guard. Win-win situation.Bocephus wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 6:36 pmThat’s the way I understood it too. This is something I have been wondering about also. Sain has been playing well, but curious why this really has not came up as a topic of discussion from Vigen in the pressers or QBC meetings. I know Vigen plays his cards close to the vest, just something I am really curious about if we are looking at doing? Also curious if Perkins is interested in going that route?blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 11:37 amThat's awesome and good to know. Justus Perkins isn't on there.
