The most unofficial Bobcat gameday thread - Idaho

It's here. The first conference test. The first FCS test. The beginning of the stretch run where 4 ranked wins are in play. Saturday, October 12th at 815 PM in Bobcat Stadium, we see who's for real.

The Vandals invade the Gallatin Valley. A valley Bill Kolar wants us to protect at all costs. We can't possibly let the Californians and German raiders stake a claim right? No, no we can't.

Idaho has been tested, though perhaps not as much as some think. They are a quality team, with some solid athletes and playmakers. Dwyer and Cummings make the offense run. Without Layne at QB they will rely heavily on those two. They have a solid OL and want to control tempo, especially against an opponent like the Cats. Will they be able to establish the run and find open space for Dwyer? Can they convert enough 3rd and 4th downs to keep the Cats offense off the field? We shall see soon enough.

It's time for Tommy to take this team to the next level. Idaho knows we can run the ball, and they'll be ready to stop it. But if they've been paying attention they should know the passing attack is more of a threat this year. If Tommy is on from the jump, watch out Idaho. If he's not, it could be a tight one to the end.

Everyone get your butts in your seats, then get up on your feet for 60 minutes and make Idaho feel the noise. Let's make sure they don't want to come back anytime soon.

Get up for Gameday and a top 10 matchup!

Go Cats Go!!!

I have noticed a lot of the teams that come to Bozeman to play the Bobcats delay their team coming back on to the field until after our runout. Is this to lessen the intimidation on their team? Go Cats Go!

Great pregame amp up!
Idaho reminds me of us a couple years ago. They are close, but we’re there!
Now it’s about taking care of business at home and dispensing the invaders!!!
The Cats by 10 today, gonna be fun, and I don’t have to get up in the middle of the night to watch! I’ll be there eating scrambled eggs and enjoying the ebbs and flows of a great college football game in Bozeman!
Go get em Cats! =D^ =D^ =D^

I could be all wrong, but I believe it's considered courteous to allow the home team to take the field first. I've noted that at least some of the visitors start coming on the field about the time the Bobcats get to the 50 yard line ( just a guess - I really don't watch them that closely) so I am sure the Cat run out is not lost on them. Often their captains are on the field when it occurs.

I’m not totally sure who this dude is, but he looks like a national media personality who’s looking to have a good time at the tailgates.

I was at a Bobcat playoff game where the opposing team came out taunting and trying to disrupt our runout. I don't remember the team tho.

But is he, are they, too amped up? McCullouch said he’s had game circled.

Idaho’s punter LJ Harm is tenth in BSC at 40.9. Seems to have average hang time.

Punt return TD. Catch reception TD. Calling it now. He’s ready.

Not sure why any team wants to come out after. I’d say significant boos is just as intimidating as a roaring crowd.

Yeah, looks like he was a D-lineman for Texas A&M and is now a social media figure who covers college football. Mentions on ‘X’ this will be his first Big Sky Conference experience. Hope he has a great time in Bozeman and gets fed at someone’s tailgate. Has some stuff on YouTube too.

The W&M players were all on the sidelines when the Cats ran out and a few players did a little taunting. You can see it here.
