Week 13: Montana at Montana State
Location: Bozeman, Montana

College GameDay always finds an opportunity to highlight a unique Group of Five or FCS environment each season. There may not be a more significant FCS rivalry than the Brawl of the Wild. The flagship show appeared in Bozeman during the 2022 season, but this year’s game could be even bigger. Montana State and Montana both have favorable schedules, while Montana State already knocked off New Mexico in Week 0. They could enter this game as undefeated teams, adding Big Sky title and FCS Playoff implications to this in-state rivalry game.

Other Potential Options: Alabama at Oklahoma, Ole Miss at Florida, USC at UCLA, Colorado at Kansas

I would absolutely love to see all the gris fans flail about and have brain aneurysms over this, but I doubt it happens.

Seems unlikely, but they did go to Fargo two years in a row in 2013 and 2014 so the precedent is there for making multiple visits to a FCS school. Both the Fargo shows were in September though and I can see how they might not want another repeat of the frigid weather in Bozeman last time. Plus, Alabama at Oklahoma is on the schedule the same day which appears at least at this point to be a better game than anything played on Cat/Griz weekend of 2022.

I know the matchups make a difference when Gameday picks a location. But, I think Gold Rush would be the best time for ESPN to come back to Bozeman. Maybe next year for SDSU.

This would be much more likely although I'd give it a very, very low chance. Especially if these teams meet in Frisco this season and Cats win. That rematch would have some cachet.

Yep…this is the best part of Game Day in Bozeman.

Never going to happen. Cats finished 8-4 last year and out of playoffs right away. NDSU,when they got two GameDays, were national champions the prior years. Plus Alabama @ Oklahoma is going to be the 95% favorite for Game Day. Plus the cold really dampened the crowd and the hype and Game Day is all about hype. Can't imagine GameDay coming to MT or the Dakotas in late Nov anytime soon.

Let's get crazy and get College Game Day this year at Bozeman with IDAHO and watch the comment section on ejizz light a fire

I was blown away watching the Cal game last night(Reimer was pretty up and down, Session looked good) and hearing they had never had GameDay.

The MSU vs Idaho game would be the only one that makes sense to have College Gameday at.

That week we play Idaho also features Ohio State - Oregon, Ole Miss - LSU, Penn State - USC, South Carolina - Alabama, and Texas - Oklahoma. Gameday coming back is a stretch to begin with, Gameday coming that weekend is a dream from another Universe.
