BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State freshman Kanika Jayathilake knew how it looked during the third set of his decisive match against Montana's Chris Zhang during Sunday's Brawl of the Wild men's tennis match.

What is a game of team tennis called? It can’t be a game, set or match.
Not sure if I'm missing a joke...but it's all three. "Game, set, match" comes from tennis. First to win six games wins the set. First to win two or three sets, depending on the level, wins the match.
Yes, in an individual or doubles tennis match it's: game, set and match. So, I was wondering what a "game" of team tennis is called since game, set and match are already used for other things. I guess they just call it a match as someone pointed out.
Oh I see what you're saying. I think it's called a tournament...? But now I'm questioning that haha.

Hello BobcatNation,

Here is the link to a photogallery of the 2024 Cat/Griz tennis match; well the last two matches between the #5s and #6s and the defining matches that completed the Bobcat comeback...

As we're talking about Brawl of the Wild matchups, just a friendly reminder that the Cats will host the dark pinkies tomorrow in a practice and scrimmage in Shroyer to finish out their spring drills. It doesn't count towards anything, but still would like to see the Cats come out victorious!

What’s all left for matchups that count toward the total, or
is it in the bag for the Cats?

Lacrosse National Championship, Mens BSC T&F Championship, and the Brawl Series victory all landed roughly at the same time. That was truly an unbelievable 20 minutes to be a Bobcat.

Yesterdays Aurora Borealis certainly tweaked something to the space-time continuum and now it’s going to be the decade of the Cats.

Indeed, a rising tide lifts all boats! Bobcat Athletics is second to none not only in the BSC but nationally as well! More to come I believe because as we know the school is excellent, the location brilliant, and the athletics clearly top notch! Hats off to everyone… including Leon and Waded!!!

This year's Brawl of the Wild series shows just how much impact Track & Field has on it, if you win the 6 XC/T&F points then you only need 3 out of a possible 11 points in the other sports to win overall. With how strong MSU's program is right now and with the IPF coming which will also have track facilities, I have a hard time seeing UM winning it anytime soon.

Is football worth two points?

Yes, football is two points.

And I agree MSU01 on the math. Counting on six T&F XC points each year just means dumb has to win 9 out of 11 remaining points to win the trophy back. Not likely.
