Barstool sports Montana posted that Tommy will be on the cover. If I can figure out how to post it here I will. Maybe somebody with more skill than I can add that to this post. Pretty cool

It’s definitely made up. I read that no FCS schools would be in the new NCAA football game.

The most logical explanation is clearly that college athletes have been fighting for a piece of the pie for decades and now that they finally got it, EA is going to put an FCS player that most of the country has never heard of on the cover of their long-awaited game.

Thankfully, I’ve never owned any of these games. My video gaming experience peaked with the 1970s Mattel electronic football game.

So I read some stuff about this today... err actually yesterday, but every school that will be in the game did this... apparently its part of the promotion of the game. Tommy won't be on the actual cover, but the Bobcats will be in the game.

Raises some interesting questions about this game and Name, Image, and Likeness. There was a lawsuit against EA Sports about 10 years ago around player likeness in this kind of game that was what really got the train rolling on NIL.
So if Tommy and the rest of the cats are in the game I assume they had to agree to their likeness being used. So are they getting paid for it? Did EA Sports have to negotiate with each individual player on an NIL deal? Is this the thing that leads to players coming together to form an organization, a "player association" if you will to better negotiate a collectively bargained agreement on these kinds of deals....

Players can start opting in to the 2025 game. If a player opts in, they receive $600 plus a copy of the game.

The article also clearly states that the game will only have FBS teams when it releases.
