I know the final four is on TV, but I’m watching the Battlehawks game and O’Reilly has been on the field.

Decent crowd too.

You can see him on this play, #59.

Just got a sack in the fourth quarter.
Yup, two tackles in a row on that series. Not a bad game. Better than last week.

Say what you want about the UFL, but both games I watched today were exciting and came down to the last possession. I like some of their rules too. Congrats to Callahan on the win.

MSU got screwed over facing Weber State in the quarterfinals, and if EWU wins a single round this entire bracket is immediately invalid!

Not football but MSU men are ranked 25th in the nation this week in T&F. Posted X in TF page.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

This is interesting.

"The Bobcat Collective will never be able to get players the money they can earn at the Power 4 level, but the biggest MSU stars can make around $50,000 per year through the collective and separate endorsement deals, according to Brandon Vancleeve, and the majority of MSU football players get some NIL money. Any amount can enhance MSU’s other attractions, like team culture and winning. MSU has one of the best gameday atmospheres in the FCS and strong athletic facilities, with an indoor practice facility on the way."

And positive. Sheds a different light on the subject.

MSU has at least seven GPOY awards on the team. Rollins, Coon (2), Mellott, Steel, Dowler, Marsh…others?
I find this interesting, that MSU attracts and recruits so many GPOY award winners. Since the award considers things in addition to top-notch athletic achievement (character, scholarship), it’s no wonder that GPOY student athletes are often very successful. I was trying to remember some recent ones in addition to this current group:

Derryk Snell
Coy Steel
Isaiah Ifanse

No kidding. I figured some stars might make a couple grand a month and the others a few hundred. This is significant for the program.

Good move, takes the time slot of the FBS championship game, that will now be January 20th. No MNF to compete with either.

For some reason, people voting on this really like the Walkup Skydome and the Kibbie Dome. Stewart Stadium at Weber State is a far superior place to watch a game than either of those...domes suck for football.
