Need a game clock facing the tailgates on the back of the scoreboard.
Why?
Let tailgaters know how much time before game and before end of half time.
I doubt that would help much, the late arrivals back from the tailgates are perfectly aware of how long halftime lasts. It's just not their priority to watch all 60 minutes of football.
I used to go out but now we just stay in the stadium and usually run in to people we know or chat with our group. At the NDSU game, nearly everyone around us missed both the MSU and NDSU TDs to start the second half. Not worth it for me anymore.

Anyone know if they are going to have it on for the scrimmage on April 20th or do we have to wait until Gold Rush?

Vigen said at the last Bobcat Club meeting I attended in February that he thought the board would be up in time for the Sonny Holland game but not operational yet. That may change though.

Family movie night in August might be the first public viewing!

I had heard this from some folks as a likelihood. My vote is for Top Gun Maverick. Killer on that big screen and we can really test out that new sound system. It’s mostly family friendly. 8)

Sometimes the Tailgate area is a bit of a time warp. Frequently when I would hear the horn blow with a few minutes to get back into the stadium and start heading in everybody would ask where I was going. I would let them know half times just about over. More often than not those people would head back into the stadium with me. I think a clock as well as a audible horn would help

Hoping the marketing team is working on some spectacular run-out/player intro videos for Gold Rush that capitalize on the new video board's capability!!!

I really hope that we get some taller goal posts, and a net that they raise and lower for when they are kicking.

There is net in the North end zone. Isn't the goal post size pretty much standard in the NCAA? I didn't know the sizes were different in other places.

Lifts are gone. Also that play clock in the bottom left corner is tiny

There's a minimum height they have to be, but they can be taller than the minimum. I'd imagine that the drawback to taller goalposts would be that they could be more liable to blow around in very windy conditions.

I think you can get either 20' uprights or 30' uprights. It does look like MSU's are only 20' in pictures, at least in front of the BAC.

Our high school goal posts have been, and continue to be, an embarrassment. I would have thought after the Idaho game back in 2018 would have been motivation to make a change. Literally nobody knew who won that game. The refs finally decided the FG was no good, but videos afterwards showed it was good. Still, no change made.

A lot of people don’t like to have college football look like NFL football. Balls have stripes still, hash marks are wider, some teams have two posts instead of one … I think that’s probably why the ncaa doesn’t require 30’. It’s a cheap fix I think. The uprights are just plastic pipe these days.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
