I kinda hope Vigen takes over playcalling...I don't think he will, but I'd be interested to see the offense with him calling the plays.

Well that ends the coordinator drama at least. I liked him as an OC but as a leader, not as big of fan. I know many have been calling for his head and we'll see if the grass is greener.
Any names?

Reunited with Joe Moorhead. Wonder if Tyler Roehl would be interested…probably not.

Definite mixed feelings on this one, on the field I personally think this will hurt MSU but off the field it's nice to finally have the DUI situations resolved with both coordinators moving on. Will be interesting to see if Vigen chooses to go with an outside hire or promote from within like he did with the DC position.

Vigen doing him a huge favor letting him go out on his terms rather than firing him. GOOOOOOOOD riddance!

Always a struggle to find a dynamic, young, up and coming offensive mind. But overall, I am happy to see him gone. Solves the DUI situation. Housewright's offense was dynamic, but never at the right time. His butt puckered against good opponents and he tried to get too cutsie on play calling.

Miller had already been promoted to MSU's OC when he left for Boise, so it seems highly unlikely he'd return to the same position as long the new Boise coach is retaining him on staff.

This was probably always the plan. Right or wrong a DUI is a misdemeanor unless you have multiples or there are other circumstances. Unless your job entails operating a vehicle or equipment, firing that person for a DUI is problematic. Wrongful termination lawsuit incoming. The DC's contract was not renewed and wouldn't be even if the defense was top tier and I would bet TH was told he wouldn't be renewed either when his was up. So he looked elsewhere.

Think Housewright tries to bring any players with him? Can't imagine Akron has a HUGE NIL checkbook but you never know. On a side note, what are the rules with transfers signing? I know Samora Ezekiel mentioned Housewright several times in his interview that House was a big reason he chose MSU. Players seemed to like TH

I think if Housewright's contract wasn't going to be renewed, it would've been announced at the same time as Garza's non-renewal. I'd guess this was Housewright's decision to move up to FBS and join his old mentor who is the HC there now rather than something initiated by MSU.

I honestly don't know this, are they both on year to year?
