Kind of pathetic that a team going to Frisco can't afford to give a little money to their band and instead has to come begging to their rival for donations.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

Not really that cool. $3,000 that should be going into our NIL funds for our own kids.

Exactly! The griz can fend for themselves as far as I'm concerned.
Try a bake sale.

Re: MSU helps griz band fundraising
I'm assuming this is coming out of the either the University's budget or through the MSU Foundation. Not the athletic department. Either way, we can write it off on MSU taxes as a donation to the needy...

Christmas Present: “I see a vacant seat in the poor chimney corner, and a crutch without an owner carefully preserved. If these shadows remain unaltered by the future, the child will die.”
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

This is a class act by an excellent university. The MSU announcement says MSU is proud to contribute. I don’t think the butt hurt guys who posted negative, inaccurate comments above are representative of Bobcat Nation.

They didn’t beg their rival, and their rival didn’t have to donate.coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 5:14 pmKind of pathetic that a team going to Frisco can't afford to give a little money to their band and instead has to come begging to their rival for donations.

Great thoughts and one would hope it's representative of what Montana used to be...Griznationalist wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 5:59 pmThis is a class act by an excellent university. It is a classy excellent thing for a proud MSU to do. After pointing that out you could've shown class and excellence by making a point of writing "Thank you" and let it be at that. Instead your head and thoughts were so focused on making a far less important point that you forgot to do the greater thing. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that it shows your lack of training rather than tell you the other things it shows about you.Griznationalist wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 5:59 pmThis is a class act by an excellent university. Re: MSU helps griz band fundraising
Let me start by saying that I DESPISE uofm. I lived in Missoula for 30 years. King George and Queen Jane Dennison, Along with my boss, Dennis
Washington fueled my hatred of not just the grisslies but the uofm.
Now back on topic. What MSU did here is a splendid move. Mind you that Uofm "sold" the seats where the MSU band was to sit during Cat-gris. Yes, I know that was a "mutual" agreement. Again, MSU helping uofm out. All be it at the expense of MSU student experience. So 300 seats at 90 bucks a ticket ..27,000 dollars. About what it would take for motel expense for the band in Frisco. Granted I know that money isn't part of that budget, however..
I wonder if Robbie donates, does he get credit for tackles/per/100dollars or something?

Re: MSU helps griz band fundraising
Good for us, MSU. Didn’t NDSU donate for our band a couple years back? I could be mistaken… But I think I recall that happening.?
Either way, good for the band! UM screwed their band over this year to benefit the football team and help their budget.
