Their 4 x 1 clocked in at 41.58 and McMillan also LJ'd 21-6 at that meet.

Texas is a great place for speed, and the coaches are doing an awesome job with this DB class. Consider Texas HS has the top 9 US all-time 4 x 1 times, with the best being 39.76. I believe the Montana record is 41.48.

Interesting note: Tyreek Hill has the 4th fastest HS all-time 200 at 20.14.

There isn’t much money in track, and certainly not compared to the NFL, but if he could have trained for 100/200m exclusively, he’d likely have been a world champion and Olympic medalist.

Anyone else get nervous when they see someone’s commitment thread come back up to the top of the list? I wonder if our T&F coach has seen this video? I see some recruitment opportunities here. 😂
The MSU school record for the LJ is 24-8.5 (indoor) and 25-2 (outdoor). Jhase did 24-6 as a junior in high school.
Wow. Can you say "fast twitch"?

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

We'll see how his football skills compare with the straight-line speed, but that is very impressive to watch! One thing for sure, if he gets a pick with an open field in front of him there will be no point for the offensive players to try and chase him down.

Go take a look at his film from jhs through varsity and tell me if he doesn't have equal of not better football skill....... oh and he went 23-3 in long jump and his 4x1 went 40.62 which at the time was no.1 in the nation, then five minutes later it was beat by Atascocita 40.37.

He’s a big time athlete and a total coup in a great recruiting class. Can’t wait to see him on the field.

I agree. Very excited about this young man and seeing him in a Bobcat uniform. We have had several Texans over the years that have loved their time in Bozeman and many have stayed or come back, so hopefully your son has the same experience.

BTW, I lived in Texas for almost 4 years. Obviously, the weather is a bit different and there are no mountains to look at, but the one thing I found very similar was the people. Native Texans (not necessarily the transplants) are very similar to Montanans…good people immensely proud of their State, local teams, etc.

Not my son... just a guy that has been following him and several other kids in his area for a while. Heck of player, great kid, great family...

The runner up must’ve been under 10.6. The next 4-5 guys probably sub-11.0. McMillan and the runner up pull away early from that group, which is probably as fast as almost every WR in the BSC.

That is elite speed! To put that in perspective Troy Andersen ran a 10.89 and hardly anyone ever caught him. Montana State's 100-meter record is 10.42 so I highly doubt there is anyone in the Big Sky who is this fast. There is probably only a handful of FCS players that are this fast. I hope he can play football because he has the speed to be a serious problem for teams. Does anyone know where he is projected to play? Seems like if he can play offense you would want him there. KO/punt return?

Defensive back. I’m sure they will give him an opportunity in the return game as well.

He'll need to be pretty damn good to unseat Taco as the punt returner! Kickoff returners are more or less obsolete these days with how many touchbacks there are.

Indeed, Taco is a cool customer under pressure, sure handed, and a great mental approach to the return game. He isn’t as “fast” but of course if Jhase can nail that game, he can be a Bergan for the Cats. If not, we’re fine!

I actually ran a better time than this in high school. Honestly I beat it by almost a second. I mean it wasn't the 100, but still. It was a hand-timed 40 but to be fair I was wearing football cleats.
