Taco is out?
I was just hearing that Taco dislocated his shoulder in practice yesterday and it’s bad enough that he will miss the season and use his red-shirt. Not confirmed but curious if anyone else has heard anything?
Sucks for him if true, as he was projected to be one of the main targets on Offense.

Huge bummer. He was quickly looking like he was gonna be a force at WR, already was as a return man.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I heard back by beginning of fall camp.

Separated or dislocated? Two different things and two different rehab paths.

Would it take a full season for a shoulder injury?

Yep, this lines up with someone telling me back by October. I'd think if he's close to 100% by early October, no brainer and don't try to redshirt. if late October, then you'd have to think about limiting him to Cat\Griz and three playoff games to preserve redshirt.

That didn't work out so well for us last time we tried that.catatac wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 2:58 pmYep, this lines up with someone telling me back by October. Yup, in the era of the transfer portal you play a guy when he's healthy and ready to go. If it's 5 or 6 games instead of 4, then so be it.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 4:16 pmThat didn't work out so well for us last time we tried that.catatac wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 2:58 pmYep, this lines up with someone telling me back by October. Little different situation here. Montana kid in his 2nd year vs out of state kid in his 9th.MSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 4:50 pmYup, in the era of the transfer portal you play a guy when he's healthy and ready to go. Montana kids transfer too (Kola Bad Bear). Play your players when you've got them because there's no guarantee they'll stick around, especially if they graduate before their eligibility is used up.utucats wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 7:16 amLittle different situation here. Re: Taco is out?
Agreed! Preserving red shirts is a thing of the past. If a kid is healthy, ready, and can help you win now, you play him/her.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 7:30 amMontana kids transfer too (Kola Bad Bear). Re: Taco is out?
I have a torn labrum from HS days and never had surgery. Unless he’s planning on playing QB it’s manageable without surgery. Get well, Taco! I wouldn’t go under the knife unless it’s too severe to play.
Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

Let's hope he's fully recovered before we start using him again.

It will depend on how bad the year is. I have a torn labrum as well but it looks like a thorn. With a severely torn labrum, you can’t even move your arm without pain.PapaG wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 8:42 amI have a torn labrum from HS days and never had surgery.
