Almost Monte Python style parody with that guy.
"Your arm is off!!"
"No it isn't"
"What's that then??"

My favorite part of the clip is watching Tim's nephew get completely fooled (again, again). Another bad decision with another bad angle from that kid. Man alive I'm going to miss the #17. He was fantastic for the Cats.coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 6:12 pmThe Alaskan Assassin to the Sunburst Kid!

Re: Offseason Random Stuff - 2023
I legitimately think Pickering (whose grandfather was drafted in the NFL and played in the CFL) may be one of the best pro prospects on our team. He's a very fluid pass-catcher and runner in the open field. I am less knowledgeable about his blocking, but he seems to do a credible job whenever I've focused on him.coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 6:12 pmThe Alaskan Assassin to the Sunburst Kid!

His overall numbers are modest in our run-heavy system, but I would not be surprised to see him playing on Sundays, especially if he could get a few more targets in a more balanced run/pass offense this year.

That’s a pretty good jump pass by a tight end with a guy in his face. Good on you, Snell #8.Travelingcat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 12:07 pmI legitimately think Pickering (whose grandfather was drafted in the NFL and played in the CFL) may be one of the best pro prospects on our team. I agree. I pay fairly close attention to the roster, but I have no recollection of MInaya Olivo. What what was his story?

2020 recruit who lasted one season. He was highly sought after at the time. His dad played professional baseball.duelalumnicat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 2:46 pmI agree. I pay fairly close attention to the roster, but I have no recollection of MInaya Olivo. What what was his story?

Minaya Olivo, RB
6-0, 190, Fr, Modesto, CA (Central Catholic)
Player Notes: Rushed for 1,136 yards as a senior in 2019, carrying 125 times for 126.2 yards per game and 9.1 yards per carry... scored a dozen rushing touchdowns... gained 541 yards in 2018, when his team finished 22-1 and won its league... scored nine times on the ground as a junior, carrying 45 times for 12.0 yards per carry and 60.1 yards per game... rushed for 1,723 yards in his career, catching 15 passes for 287 yards and five TDs... the son of former major league catcher Miguel Olivo.
From MSU Coach Jeff Choate: “Minaya had a ton of offers early out of Central Catholic High School in Modesto, and he went through the recruiting process in an interesting way. He was looking for an academic fit, that was super important to him. We thought we were going to get him to sign in the early period, things kind of cooled off, and we were concerned because Coach (DeNarius) McGhee had done a great job building a relationship with him. Coach (Brian) Armstrong and I did a home visit with him two weeks ago and we absolutely fell in love with his mom, Gloria, and had a great time talking sports with his dad, Miguel, who was a 13-year major league baseball player, and they came up on a visit this last weekend that I think solidified things. We’re really excited about this young man. He’s super productive, a bigger back than we’ve often had. Coming in as a freshman he looks more like DeMareus Hosey than he does Isaiah Ifanse or Lane Sumner, but he’s going to be a great addition to our stable of running backs.”

Minaya had awesome highlight tape. I had him as the best back of that 2020 class ahead of Elijah Elliot.AFCAT wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 3:46 pm2020 recruit who lasted one season. Possibly a self awareness issue.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Layoffs in this instance meaning we won't have to pay this hack all summer and hire someone a bit more professional once the season begins this fall. No termination BS to contend with.

Sucks to get fired. Makes me appreciate the reporters we have that can be objective and not fanboys.

Lee, like the landline, just keeps slowly fading away. Sign of the times. I miss the days when the local paper (and others) was on countertop of every bar and cafe. I’m sure everyone working for Lee is either nervous or making a backup plan. There are a lot of industries on the verge of becoming obsolete.coloradocat wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 10:27 amThe utter shock is just wonderful. MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
