Armstrong appreciation thread

Post by cat4lyf » Fri Jan 13, 2023 2:58 pm

I only spoke to him once but he was a stand-up guy imho. I still remember when his "Battlin' Bears"advanced to the NAIA playoffs in 2013. Those were the days. Good luck to you Coach Brian.

He always said positive things and was very positive. He ate at Pickle Barrel with Mr Vigen and enjoyed being positive with the other people.

Yeah, I remember that time I met him at the Bauccus Pub and we having a burger with Bill Kollar when Jan Stenerud and Sonny Lubick came in and then we all walked down to the Rockin' R Bar where we met up with Cliff Hysell. Good times.....

Both. Pre-blast was when he was still with Western. Only the first time I had met him, but I was positive that he was a positive guy. I could positively tell then that someday he would be a positive coach for MSU. And I would get to meet him again...

Coach Armstrong has definitely left the place better than he found it. A 'tip of the hat' to Army....good luck!

He did a great job, and I hope no one follows him to Fresno...

I also didn't love the Pickle Barrel, I liked Starky's better and my all time favorite Bozeman sandwich was (is?) the spicy cheesesteak at Zydeco. I ate that thing like 4-5 times a month every semester.
