Not much beef on the defensive side yet...
Sharbono is a nice developmental DT imo.

I’m really hoping they play Marsh at DE. But again, nice developmental project.

Solano has great size for an incoming DE. Redshirt him and get him to 250 and you’re set. Similar body type to Grebe.

I would imagine they’re still hunting for a bigger DT, but they have until February. They’ll hit the portal market there too. I know there were a couple Poly DT’s from Bosco they’re recruiting, and another DL from the same school as the WA RB they’re recruiting too.

Nvm. The DL from Rainier committed to Idaho. Good get for them.

Agree. This is a great looking recruiting class, overall, but the Cats are in need of a couple dogs on the defensive side. Maybe some of the "ATH" will fit the mold but I am anxious to see where this D goes in 2023 building around our talented D-line, Dannu U and Ortt.

Anyone know if there are any other early enrollees other than Chance Wilson?

For those in the know, is there any chance Valdez puts on more mass and/or is able to slide out to DE? He is excellent at the 3T, but it might be easier to recruit the interior on the portal.

Interior defensive linemen are in the running for being the single hardest players to recruit at this level. There are lots of 6'3", 6'4" 230lb athletes. If they are 6'4" or 6'5", athletic, and 270 or greater, they are FBS bound. There just isn't a ton of humans that size that are athletic enough.

No need. He’s about 280-290 now.

I would guess iDL is the hardest position to recruit. They’ll have to do a lot of recruiting to keep him here until he graduates. He’s the best pass rushing DT in the conference…I wouldn’t move him at all.

MSU is doing a great job developing DTs.

So maybe not the right spot for this but... any update on Zac Crews?
I was wondering the same thing. If it happens, it’ll probably be a quiet as possible walk on.
Eh...sounds like a kid that made a mistake, needs to learn something from it, and hopefully gets a second chance. However, I am hoping that second chance is somewhere other than MSU. We got a good thing going right now; no need to bring that element or distraction into the locker room at this time.
What Camo Cat said….also, fair or not, second chances don’t always happen in life. We probably all wish we could go back and change some things but life moves on.

based on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU.

Zac Waible - (OR) - LB - 3-star https://twitter.com/ZacWaible
*Lucas Tuski - (OR) - RB * possible Gray shirt https://twitter.com/TuskiLucas
* Brock Steel - (WY) - DB,WR * possible Gray shirt https://mobile.twitter.com/brocksteel12

And for Colson Coon, we still don't know where he is going.

Everyone needs to get on the Bobcat collective and purchase one of the Valdez t-shirts or hoodies. Get the kid some cash.

So, can anyone explain how our roster is going to look? I'm counting 102 players on the roster, and I don't think that includes gray shirts and possible other true freshmen\scout team players from this year? Then I think we graduate 12 seniors. Is Covid still playing into how many players we can carry on the active roster? Just wondering if players currently on the roster will be asked to move on.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!
