MSU fans can pack the stadium then that’s a heatwave. Let the SD fans stay home!

Roughly -10, optimistic for -5... What would W&M have to say about that?

Rumor is SDST only heats their side of the field.

I believe if they do, they have to provide something our side too. We got the gris bench for W&M.

We got the gris benches?????
We weren't required to provide them other than what we have and we don't have heated benches.
I would bet Nancy called the Gris.......

Just read on twitter that due to the blizzard that is threatening the upper mid-west tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday, SDSU is allowing students to take their finals online. As a result the students are getting the bleep out of dodge and getting their Christmas Vacation started early. As poor as the turnout was last week they now look to be down what was probably a decent contingent of students. Crazy but a National semifinal might be a bring your own energy type atmosphere. Bobcat fans could be a decent percentage of the people there.

SDSU has those new heated cleats that keep their feet warm and heat the field under every step they take.

Weather won't be the deciding factor imho. However, we do have a huge endurance advantage garnerd from training at high elevation. This significant elevation-based endurance advantage gives our players much higher red-blood cell count allowing for better transfer of oxygen. Basically this advantage gives us the fourth quarter "X-Factor" that Coach Housewright is always talking about. Go Cats!

Just out of curiosity, given the forecast is getting worse with more rain and snow….I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be a bad idea to use The Fargo Dome, or bump the game back a few days. I can’t imagine what a mess the field/stands will be following freezing rain/snow/sudden drop in temperature. I know we have the “special” cleats to handle any conditions, but it’s just seems like pulling off a football game in these conditions might not be the best idea. I mean, I do like the idea of this side of the bracket being decided on a frozen field in South Dakota, but they haven’t sold many tickets and they might actually get more jackrabbit butts in seats by moving it indoors.

I imagine it would take an unmanageable weather event to force the game to move days/location. Like...Buffalo several weeks ago unmanageable. Feet of snow and no way to clear it; no way to get the teams from point A to point B, etc.
The weather in Brookings on Saturday may be MISERABLE for fans and players, but unless it is so bad that it prevents the Cats from getting into town, I wouldn't bet on anything being changed.

There will be heaters on both sidelines. There have been for every other cold weather game. Occasionally each side will also have a storage container like thing on the sidelines as well. Not exactly sure what for. I only see them when it is nasty cold. Whether it is used for heat or a wind break or what, not sure.
If you are driving, be careful. I realized when I moved to the flat side of the state that it is not the amount of snow that is dangerous around here, it is the wind. There is absolutely NOTHING to stop it. A few inches of light snow and 20 mph wind and you won't be able to see your hand in front of your face. Some areas of the state are calling for 1-2 feet of snow and 50 mph winds. Crazy amounts of ice could hit the south east part of the state if you are driving up from I-90 to I-29. I assume the ice will be cleared by Saturday, but downed power lines and loss of electricity could impact Sioux Falls and surrounding areas.

Bison play Friday. We could play there Saturday barring a scheduling conflict in the Dome.
