One of the Davis defensive backs, #21, was jawing all night with one of our guys on the sidelines who was in street clothes? I couldn't figure out which one of our guys it was, but the two were going at it every time Davis was on defense. They were both laughing at times, so I am guessing they must have know each other.

They knew each other. It was all good and the refs never said anything. They hugged it out and visited for a while after the game.

I saw that once Tyrel Thomas came into the game, UCD lost some effectiveness in passing the ball. He might not have been the whole reason, but they didn’t move the ball as well after he came in.
It was very strange. I think Thomas being in was just coincidental. UCD ran the ball 7 straight times ??? after falling behind 38-14. Only gained 50 yards on last four drives (19 plays). They were moving ball with ease prior to that. I’m wondering if Hastings was hurt. I know Hawkins is a crazy man, but that was very puzzling to me.

Gilliam is there go to guy, he was pretty wore down late in the game and maybe a little dinged too. He wasn't the same guy late in the game.

I saw these clocks on the field during timeouts when the Cats played OSU in Portland. Gave the time when play would resume. We need these in the Big Sky too.

I thought the best part of the press conference was when Chambers was talking about how everything slowed down for him for the first time in his career. That's significant imho.

...Garrett Coon run over the UCD safety on his 29-yard run? At 6-0, 205, he's a load.

Even though he's smiling, his mug shot looks sinister.

I completely agree. I don't care what sport it is, when a player who already has the athleticism it takes has things slow down for them, they can really get on a roll if they keep their confidence up. Whatever happens with Mellott/Chambers, I think Chambers has to remain a prominent part of the offense--not just a guy that comes in once in a while.

I did not see this but my son standing next to me did so I'll ask if anyone else saw.
On a late in the game punt from Davis did you see Kenneth Eiden block a big Davis player on his butt bigtime?
From my son's reaction and description, it was a thing of beauty. If you saw it what was your reaction?
Could anyone post a short video of that?

I'm sure everyone saw this but it hasn't been talked about yet I don't think. The heavy package with Devin Slaughter and Omar A. lead blocking for Chambers was awesome. That is a LARGE backfield.

Does anyone have a link to the video of Slaughter lifting weights?

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned but Chambers in the post game presser (about the three minute mark) talking about Coach Vigen brought tears to my eyes. Relationships. It's really what it's all about. Great stuff.

Yep I saw that too and loved his passion and toughness. I thought of Nick LaSane when he ran that play!

LaSane was a beast, I remember him seeking out a griz to destroy on his way to the end zone.... he just wanted to hit somebody!

Garrett has some shake to him too. As long as everyone sticks around post-Ifanse, the Sumner/White/Elliot/Coon stable is likely what Vigen had in mind when he got here. While OC at NDSU, he used three to four backs effectively. That kind of changed at Wyoming but again it sounds like Vigen only signs off on playing guys that the team can trust (are developmentally ready). That group of runners mixed with this offensive line the next two years after this year? We are going to be very hard to beat.

Not football related, but did anyone see the black bear run across Wilson near Cleveland St after the game?

Not something I expected to see at 11:50 at night. Ran out in front of the car in front of me and was on a mission.
