Here's a link to Sam Herder's list of FCS UDFA signings. No Bobcats yet - the Saints signing the UC Davis punter and Rashid Shaheed from Weber are the only two Big Sky guys so far.
Edit: Also Dylan Cook of UM to Tampa.

Re: UDFA signings
Is the only difference between an UDFA signing and a Mini Camp tryout getting paid to attend? The team has a little more confidence in the UDFAs going in but not much and mini camp is really a tryout for everyone there regardless of status.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

Re: UDFA signings
Coach Choate knew how to recruit. Curious if we can get that type of athlete to come to Bozeman and develop anywhere close to the senior class.
We are going to need to in order to win a championship.

Re: UDFA signings
The difference between a UDFA signing and a minicamp tryout is that a UDFA signing is under contract as a member of the team's roster, and assumed to be going to training camp/preseason with the team. A minicamp invitation is there primarily to "round out the numbers". A team doesn't have enough rookie players at every position to run what they want to run at minicamp, so they bring in guys. Occasionally one of those guys really impresses and lands a UDFA contract, but most of them won't be with the team during training camp/preseason. So, it's a big difference.coloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 6:53 pmIs the only difference between an UDFA signing and a Mini Camp tryout getting paid to attend? There's always some roster shuffling between minicamp and training camp, so not all of the UDFAs will still be with their teams in July, but most of them will be. A UDFA is not much worse off than a late-round draft pick.

Re: UDFA signings
I'm genuinely a bit surprised that Lance was not able to swing a UDFA contract. Still think he has a good chance to make a practice squad next year. Kidd has a decent shot too.

The rockies are and MLB team. Not an NFL team.
I know what you meant.

This article indicates all three did sign UDFA contracts.

I am thinking the author may be wrong. All the tweets from Montana Stae used in that article have the word "invited" above the players' picture......not signed.imacat wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 1:14 pmThis article indicates all three did sign UDFA contracts.

I think I saw where Lewis received $10,000. I "think" that is to cover expenses to mini-camp.

Kidd is a UDFA. Previously that had him listed as just having a rookie mini-camp invite.

Another nice job by Alex. Her conversational style is interesting to listen to and seems to draw the players out. Keep following them, Alex.AFCAT wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 5:01 pmLewis Kidd interview.

She definitely has that professional fan style. It's a good way to get the interview subject to relax and open up to her.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 1:16 amAnother nice job by Alex.
