Pinch Me
Are we in the midst of possibly the best year ever in Montana State University Athletics history?
Football team: National Runner Up
MBB: Reg Season Conference Champions
WBB: Vying for a Reg Season Conference Championship
Men's and Women's Track both did well (both finished 3rd at Big Sky TF Championship I believe)
Hockey Team is heading to the National tourney (club sport, I know but I don't give a rip I'm counting it!)
I'll admit I'm not as familiar with Tennis and Golf but seems like what I've seen they have both been having sucess.
I would say "best" season would have to include a National Championship but this year has been something special! And the basketball teams aren't done!

Re: Pinch Me
Thanks for posting this as I was also going to post this very same thing. Being one of the gang who are longer of tooth and having been through the ups and downs of fandom with the Cats, this on the whole is definitely the best overall year I’ve seen MSU have!!!RobertCats wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 10:52 pmAre we in the midst of possibly the best year ever in Montana State University Athletics history?

Re: Pinch Me
Volleyball also had one of their best seasons in years. Waded and Leon really have something going.

Re: Pinch Me
I believe the mens rugby team played in their national championship game in the fall as well. Now with the mens hockey team headed to nationals and the womens hockey team playing their first ever games a team, even the club sports are killing it.

Men's lacrosse is currently #12 in their league and should move up as they move deeper in to their season.

Re: Pinch Me
Not exactly carrying the MSU flag for this season……but I thought it was kinda neat that 3 former Bobcats skiers were participating in the Winter Olympics just held in Beijing.
Thanks for posting the list…nice year to be a Bobcat!

Re: Pinch Me
I'm in some sort of golden age of my sports fandom and I don't know how to handle it. On top of all the Bobcat success, the Rams won the Super Bowl, the Blues won the Stanley Cup in 2019 and have the 2nd best record in the West currently, the Suns have the best record in the NBA and lost in the Finals last year...

Werd. It’s a school year for the ages. Ski bumps, mash moguls y’all!
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I don’t know where last year ended and this year began, but within the last 12 months Tori Martell brought home two National Championships in Three-Point Shooting, the individual and the team. So you could say that Tori’s National Championships kicked off this wave of success.

Re: Pinch Me
