Really want Carter in Blue and Gold
Almost inexcusable if he isn’t, with the family history and his size/speed.
Maybe, maybe not. There are so many variables involved in recruiting, nothing is a sure thing one way or the other.

Yeah, I saw that last week. He seems like an awesome kid with an amazing work ethic and is obviously from a football family. It will be interesting to see if he ends up on offense or defense. I'm sure, wherever he chooses, he'll have an opportunity to be a special teams contributor right away.

Would love to see him in Bozeman, as I think someone with his skillset can be really dynamic in this offense.
Reading between the lines here but Tom had a great senior season and its lead to an increase in recruiting interest. Due to the legacy factor, I think if he had what he wanted from MSU in terms of a scholarship, he would've committed already. But I have a feeling MSU has stood pat on their offer and UM has actually offered more. Now the holding pattern likely has to due with out-of-state interest from a FBS school in the form of a potential PWO offer coming his way. I wouldn't be surprised if Tom waits on committing in-state and takes visits in January whether that be officials to MSU, UM, or a FBS school.
Agree on all of that, as that's my uneducated thought process as well. I'm sure money is a factor. The right fit is a factor. Academics is obviously a factor.

It's kind of the age old dilemma for Montana Kids. Do you take a partial from MSU or UM over a full ride from Tech/Carroll/Rocky? And potentially Tom's case, throw in a PWO to a place like Boise State or Wyoming. For us as fans, it's a no brainer...you BE A BOBCAT. Haha

Luke is almost a clone of Ryan Lonergan only not quite as talented. Its really too bad people haven't gotten to see more of Ryan and that's really just a testament to how damn good Derryk Snell and Treyton Pickering are, specifically at blocking. Ryan's time will come and I'm excited a kid like Luke gets to be added to the mix. Coach Wesche moved him all over the place on offense just like Lonergan a few years back. Very versatile.

Deep TE room next year:
Snell
Pickering
Lonergan
Reynolds
Provience (current commit)
Smith

Wondering if any of those guys get moved to DE

You're missing Rylan Schlepp who the coaches just absolutely rave about because of his frame and blocking ability.

I remember a time when a coaching staff didn’t want to give a certain Montanan athlete a “good” scholarship. Now he was really raw, but had good size and was a great athlete. So that player went elsewhere, and the next year had a full scholarship from MSU. Coaches got lucky he didn’t go to a bigger school. Now he’s a starting DE here.

I’m not saying Carter is as good as Grebe. But…he’s been ultra productive, has good size, and elite speed. I’d take the chance.

Still feel like there is a clear Big Sky conference OG here. Zach is a talented kid and may win the heavyweight championship in AA wrestling this year.

I feel like this kid deserves a second chance. That said, I hope it is a team decision and not a coaching decision.

Tier 5 - Projects (https://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewt ... 17&t=52387)
Tier 4 - Safe Investments (https://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewt ... 17&t=52388)

Quick reports are done for the projects. Look for reports on the Tier 4 kids over the next few days. Tiers 3 and 2 will be wrapped up by Monday night. Tier 1 on Tuesday which is the day before national signing day.

Tier 1 - "Rare Ones" (https://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewt ... 17&t=52412)
Tier 2 - "Blue Chips" (https://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewt ... 17&t=52411)
Tier 3 - "Partials" (https://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewt ... 17&t=52410)

Final ranking is up. Way behind on quick reports and what I like to do for the top 2 tiers. I'll just keep feeding you baby birds as I find time! One problem I run into now is I get too into the next year's class too early which hurts my final reporting for the prior class. Again, I need an editor.

I’ll just list my changes as I mostly agree with this based on what I know.

I think Luhmann should be higher. I thought FC would drop off a little more with Abbott graduating. That was a very dominant team. It’s tough to play up a division but it would’ve been interesting to see how they would do in A. I also like Stevenson, Guernsey, Grebe, Stenson, Duchien, Taylor and Dolan a little more than Vim.

I would’ve put Marsh in with Harris and Anderson.

I mostly have info on Helena players. I think they’re all slotted very well on this list with the Marsh being the lone mild exception.
