Senior Leadership in 2022
Was looking as the "Who do we lose" thread and decided to look at all the players listed ad Juniors on the roster. I'm not sure if some of these listed are incorrect... or of some of the players I list below are already graduated, not coming back or whatever but hopefully someone knows and can correct this list. There will be some great Senior leaders in this team, again.
Coy Steel
James Campbell
Jeffrey Manning
Ty Okada
Willie Patterson
Tadan Gilman
Isaiah Ifanse
RJ Fitgzerald
Callahan Oreilly
Tyson Regimbal
Zach Redd
Byron Rollins
Dylan Porter ?
Peyton Hanser ?
Jarrett Kessler ?
Kyle Rygg ?
Coy Steel
James Campbell
Jeffrey Manning
Ty Okada
Willie Patterson
Tadan Gilman
Isaiah Ifanse
RJ Fitgzerald
Callahan Oreilly
Tyson Regimbal
Zach Redd
Byron Rollins
Dylan Porter ?
Peyton Hanser ?
Jarrett Kessler ?
Kyle Rygg ?

Re: Senior Leadership in 2022
I’m betting on Fitzgerald, Manning, Redd, and Okada as Captains. Steel and Ifanse as backups.

RJ has my imaginary and non countable vote for #41. I will be pretend upset if he doesn’t get the number and vow that I’ll never go to another Bobcat game but that will all be a lie.

In that case I wonder if Callahan edges out Manning for the second defensive captain.AFCAT wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 5:07 pmRJ has my imaginary and non countable vote for #41. As is Coy Steel.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

My uncountable vote is for Callahan, he has been rock solid, 105 tackles, and 16th in the conference.coloradocat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 5:57 pmIn that case I wonder if Callahan edges out Manning for the second defensive captain.AFCAT wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 5:07 pmRJ has my imaginary and non countable vote for #41. The reports of Coy's retirement have been greatly exaggerated.

ND0479 wrote in the recruiting thread that Coy is coming back. Don’t know if that’s true or not.

Porter, Hanser, Rygg, Rollins all reported to be moving on. All were recognized on senior day with family at last regular season home game. Unless something has changed I would not expect these guys back next season.coloradocat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 9:34 pmThe reports of Coy's retirement have been greatly exaggerated.

Re: Senior Leadership in 2022
And, do we know whey they're listed as Juniors on the roster? Is that inaccurate, or are they moving on while still having a year of eligibility left? I could understand that for players that aren't going to see the field, but Rygg???catscat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 7:20 pmCoy Steel was also recognized on Senior day.1984champ wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 10:04 pmPorter, Hanser, Rygg, Rollins all reported to be moving on. I really hope Rygg comes back (assuming his injury is healed up). He would be an important piece on the DL.

Vigen has mentioned that there may be some guys coming back with eligibility left that were honored on senior day.

Re: Senior Leadership in 2022
I don't know any specifics about any of these players. But because of Covid, those listed as Juniors are already 5th year seniors if they redshirted. Lots of 23 year olds are ready to move on from college. Grad school, jobs, marriage, etc.catatac wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 11:30 amAnd, do we know whey they're listed as Juniors on the roster? Coy Steel in 4th picture. Great news for our punt return game, at the very least!

Is Coy going to try for a comeback? That would be great news if so. I was told he had a pretty major knee injury. I think RJ , OReilly, and Okada for certain. I can see Manning and don't count out Tommy.
Also, has anyone heard if McKay was offered by any school?
