Hopefully when the new defensive coaches are announced Tucker is also announced as a Grad Assistant.

Doesn’t he have another year of eligibility? I mean, if he is gonna hang out he might as well suit up.

He has left a legacy of being the top notch teammate and leader, who though his personal on the field accomplishments likely didn't match his full potential for lots of reasons, he exemplified the word "CLASS"! Leading from 2nd position is something that very few can do well if at all, but leading from the front when others may not have been in your corner is even more difficult. He did both with a C.A.T. attitude that will carry him far as a man no matter what he puts his hands to. Well done Tucker, job well done! =D^ =D^ =D^

QB coach / Emergency QB

Didn't something like that happen in South Carolina or somewhere this past season?

Yep haha. Zeb Noland left NDSU for a grad assistant position at South Carolina and ended up as the QB.

Wonder if he could just start next year in a QB coach type position for the cats? That is basically what he was this last year.
If he hasn't finished his Master's degree, I'd think a graduate assistant position would be a perfect fit for him and very much in line with his future plans. I'm sure MSU would love to have him on the staff if he can pull it off.
Yep. I’ve been begging for it. Feels like a shoe in. Obviously has the respect of those around him and has a clearly stated desire to enter the coaching realm.
Guys like this don’t come along very often. Excellent student, player, person. Let’s not let him bounce off our fingertips to someone else. Tucker, please stay home.

Wait, Rovig has a year left?

Tommy is having surgery. He might not be 100% by fall. I don't know that Sean Chambers is a better QB than Tucker Rovig. I do know that Tucker is capable of winning a lot of games at this level

I believe so if he wants it.

Redshirted 2017
Played in 2018 & 2019
2020 = Covid Year, no eligibility lost
Played in 2021
Fourth year of eligibility would be 2022.

Yes. But everything I have heard is that he graduated early and is done. Maybe that is not official though?

This is correct, he is done according to his own statements in the media. But he could have come back for one more year had he wanted to do so.
