Lots of people post on what we need, few donate. I'd like to start a challenge for the new year. Get a cheap piggy bank, put ALL your change in it. I know it's not much anymore with the debit cards but we all still have some. Then we take these to gold rush and have some sort of donating ceremony.

Everyone is willing to talk about needs but few step up to fund them. I believe there were less than 500 donors to the BAC.

I am willing to bet that there was more than only 500 donors that gave money to the BAC. There may have been 500 donors that gave a substantial amount, but am sure there was more that gave lesser amounts.

MSU has said there were more than 500 donors, but I doubt there were 600. What is your definition of substantial? MSU only listed the people that gave $10,000 or more on their donor wall and there aren’t that many names listed there.

I am just saying that $100 could be a substantial amount for one individual, but another could say $ 1,000 would be substantial. Not all of us are engineers, business owners, or whatever. There are different tiers that people can comfortably donate.

I could read the implication from coach when he talked about the "machine being built" 10 years ago at NDSU. Their first run led to a bunch of support and it built from there. It's been clear listening to Vigen since day 1 here he believes that kind of infrastructure, support, university etc exists here to build a version of that machine, built on fan/booster support and a line of scrimmage mentality. I'm excited for this game and what it could lead to going forward.

Advantage MSU being outside. Temps in Frisco are dropping like a rock.

I donate each year...at bonus time, I set aside some $$ for the facilities campaign...regardless if there's fundraising for a particular project. It's not a lot, but what I can afford. If my ship comes in and I become a whale (figuratively speaking), I'll be glad to be the Phil Knight of MSU.

Next few days look cold for Texas but Saturday's forecast is 65 for the high. Hope it holds!

Heard Costello on yesterday's Twitter chat with Tom Wistrill of the Big Sky Conference. Leon said the IPF was the priority along with some "things" in the Brick and Bobcat Stadium.

Yes BN needs to help..... but this probably ain’t gonna happen unless the athletic department can get some “Denny Washington’s” on board, we need some big money to step up and donate like 20 million or so.

Town pump seems like a no brainer. (They make that much like every 2 hours). Leverage the Tommy hype- butte connection, which is town pumps headquarters.... Or reach out to all the different billionaires living around bozeman these days, seems to be plenty to choose from, I’m sure at least one of them is a bobcat fan... ha

I may be misremembering the chat from yesterday but I thought Costello said something along the lines of "hopefully in the next few years" for the IPF. I imagine making the NC helped push things along and hopefully we are closer than we are far.

Saw on Twitter this morning that UM is close to raising $7.2 million for an indoor facility....appears to be a "bubble" concept. This will be an advantage for recruiting.

Let me guess, they will name it "Denny's Dome."

The rendering is ugly. Looks like a grab to get it done.

Agreed. This definitely gives them an upper hand in the short term, but hopefully MSU can raise the money to get a permanent facility built and take that upper hand back. And hopefully soon-ish.

It really doesn’t help recruiting as much as you think. It obviously helps a little, but nobody is picking UM or MSU because they have an indoor practice facility. Lot of other things that come into play before that.
