I think this will be interesting to watch. Mellott is such a fan favorite and I'm curious to see if Vigen will stick with him over one of the other guys on the roster already. If he goes with somebody else you'd have to think he'd be REALLY good, and even then it might be a tough sell.HelenaCat95 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 1:22 pmDo we bring in a QB?
1- I assume that Touchdown Tommy is QB1 going in to fall camp.
2- Since Rovig is graduated, I assume that he is done playing. He has said he wants to be a coach - could he want to stay as a GA for MSU?
3- Does Baumann stay?
4- Any word on how Austin has done?
5- Do we bring in a QB for competition/depth?

If you listen to the press conference, Vigen said that they are looking to bring in a couple of running backs. I'm sure some of that has to do with losing the Idaho kid to Boise State.

Didn’t we sign a big time stud at RB last year.? Something like Olivio Minya? Seems to me if I remember correctly he was quite highly ranked. Don’t see him on the roster? Is he hurt or not on the team?

Does anybody have a list of gray shirts that will be coming to school in January? I'm sure there are a few with the way the scholarships worked out with all the extra covid seniors.

He said 3 we’re joining in January, but I thought it was Aaron Gerle, Noah Smith, Jordan Reed, and Kade Cutler. Don’t know if one of those fell off?

He specifically mentioned Reed as coming in. Maybe one of them technically isn’t grey shirting? Idk.

Not that it means anything but Gerle, Smith, and Cutler are all still very active on social media retweeting MSU stuff. With the new COVID rules for that extra year who knows how they are spacing out some of these kids between the years.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 11:30 amHe specifically mentioned Reed as coming in. Greyshirted and then was here in the fall and got hurt - when Wood left I thought he may be starting LT, could contribute this coming year.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 9:20 amWhatever happened to Kettels? Thank you for that. So he greyshirted last year (the year we didn't play) and subsequently got hurt again in camp. So he'll be a redshirt freshman this upcoming year. Wow. He's gonna be like a 21 year old "freshman"Bozcat003 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 9:21 amGreyshirted and then was here in the fall and got hurt - when Wood left I thought he may be starting LT, could contribute this coming year.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 9:20 amWhatever happened to Kettels? Re: 2021/22 signing period thread
I just saw the shiz picked up a big receiver 6'3 190lbs and they don't have a QB for next year even decided yet. We need guys with size like that. I also see they offered a 6'7 300+ offensive and defensive line guys and both guys have been offered by everybody else in the big sky, but not seeing MSU. Make me wonder how hard our guys are recruiting or if they are not seeing what everyone else is seeing. We have some big gaps to fill next year and maybe after the championship game we can pick and choose a little, but always makes me a little nervous.

If you’re 6’7 and 300+ as an OL and not getting recruited by the FBS out of HS, you probably aren’t very good.
