This is a very important point, as teams will need to readjust their rosters and scholarship allocations to account for the extra COVID year. My overall take is that when in doubt, Vigen went for the Montana kids over the out-of-state kids who likely look better on paper with their greater chances for exposure and star ratings on recruiting websites. But if you ask me, those guys don't have any better chances of becoming great players for MSU than the guys from Montana. It's about what you do and how hard you work when you show up on campus, not how many stars you have behind your name to get the fans excited on signing day.
