Interesting, they feel like they are built to stop a run heavy team and susceptible to the pass.

I would agree but also don’t think they have played a physical team like ours
Biggest challenge for us is keeping their speed in check

It sounds like some on there are planning to be playing villinova in two weeks. I think it could easily be South Dakota state in Bozeman.

I hope so, I'd sure like this Senior class to get one more game in Bobcat Stadium.

They're not really sure SHSU should have to play this weekend, given how there were only three teams good enough to beat them (SELA, UIW, and EWU) and they've all been eliminated.

Interestingly, 3 is also the number of fans who post on their site.coochorama42 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:15 amThey're not really sure SHSU should have to play this weekend, given how there were only three teams good enough to beat them (SELA, UIW, and EWU) and they've all been eliminated.

Sammy's run D should be a lot stouter than anyone we've played other than UM. They only give up a little over 2 yards per carry.

Re: Follow Sam Houston
Given how bad they whupped us the last two times we've played I would expect them to be a little overconfident.

Great opportunity for our coaches to cook up some new wrinkles they haven't seen yet.

They had 6,722 fans at this weekend’s game. Not sure that is a good number for a good fan base.

Yeah moves to the FBS for teams like this baffle me. You already have no fans, why move up and compete even more with every other FBS team in Texas? The Butcher wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 12:22 pmThey had 6,722 fans at this weekend’s game. Not sure that is a good number for a good fan base.

Re: Follow Sam Houston
Most "G 5" games I've seen are played in empty stadiums. They'll fit right in fine there. We'll get to see them on some random Wednesday night battling New Mexico State.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 12:25 pmYeah moves to the FBS for teams like this baffle me. Re: Follow Sam Houston
Several posters state our passing sucks. Could sort of agree but I surely would not want to throw a pass in 20-30 mph winds. The wind is a great equalizer...

I wonder how many of their fans realize that they don't get to play a high school defense this weekend?

Wow, it’s pretty much a forgone conclusion. Not even sure why they are bothering to suit up Saturday.

Actually I think they said our “QB sucks!” That is OK. Let’s be up to the task on Saturday!
