Re: Current Depth Chart
There are few places more difficult for a freshman to make his first start at than WaGriz.

I'm on board with this!CatBot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:54 pmI think Rush will surprise people this week. His 2 quarters against UI was without 1st team practice reps, and last week was a tough place to have your first start. He looked very slow off the count partly due to noise, but also due to having to "think" too much. This start is after 2 weeks with the 1st team and a significant number of practice reps. The 6 quarters he has already played will help him in all aspects of preparation, including film study. He'll be confident and effective this week. Watch for it.catatac wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:45 pmYup. Losing TJ was huge. I commented after the Idaho game that RR needed to grow up in a hurry or the Griz game could get ugly. It's not his fault, just young and raw and needs reps. Vigen commented about this in the presser. He now has 6 quarters under his belt, will get a full game Saturday and hopefully those live reps really help him progress because that next round game, likely heading to SHSU... we'll REALLY need the OL to be on point. No, I'm not overlooking the game this Saturday but YES, I am fairly confident on a hard fought Cat victory!Team10 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:04 pmI was reluctant to rewatch Cat griz, but with the Oline depth being one of the questions marks I decided to see what some of the biggest problems were. Unfortunately the blaring issue with the line was Reimer at RT for his first start. The first two plays I skipped to in the game Reimer gets beat inside with a moderate juke which stopped the run for a loss. Next play was a pass and Tui knowing Reimer is over matched doubles which left a direct path to McKay. Had McKay not not been forced to chuck the ball up McC had his guy beat.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 12:23 pmReimer will be in much better shape chemistry-wise this game. He’s a very good up-and-comer and nearly won the starting job at RT. MSU is better off with him taking over RT than shuffling players around. I don’t expect to see as drastic a drop off this week as you saw two weeks ago.
Ifanse and Elliott will be healthier. MSU had four very physical games in a row. This bye is probably more beneficial than the last one. The game going into the first bye was also physical. ISU ran seemingly every play as did Idaho, which was also very physical on defense. A lot of players came out of the Idaho game banged up, especially on offense.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tui is moved to RT like he was earlier in the season and someone else starts at RG.

Totally off topic….but I was part of the C of Red on Saturday against the Jets. Had a great time even though the home team lost.

Colter just said on his show that his sources are saying Mellott will start.

Re: Current Depth Chart
I posted something about this in a different thread, but apparently it never got posted correctly. I'm wondering what the deal is with Colter's sources, if anonymous I'm guessing this info probably shouldn't have been leaked. It probably doesn't matter a huge amount, but it certainly can't help to share this information with the TN-M coaches two days before kickoff. If Vigen is OK with it I am as well but seems like a breach. Not trying to call out Colter because I love his information and he has integrity... but I cannot imagine him reporting on something like this if Robbie Patterson was announced the starting QB behind the scenes for the Griz if Bobby didn't approve it.

UTM traveled today if I remember correctly. They won't have an actual practice to get a gameplan in place for Tommy so I don't think it matters much.catatac wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 8:55 pmI posted something about this in a different thread, but apparently it never got posted correctly. They’ve already game planned for Tommy! I wouldn’t expect the playcalling to be much different for QB1 no matter who it is. U-TM already knows Tommy is dangerous on foot.

Re: Current Depth Chart
Besides it was public the minute he entered the portal and tweeted about it.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

I would guess it will be a lot of Mellott and then Tucker in on some obvious passing downs.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 11:14 amhttps://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/ ... ayoffs.pdf

Bob Seger is more of a Mellott fan.

Depth Chart on page 16. Tucker OR Tommy listed as the starters at QB. Rush Reimer at RT.
The first page leaves me with some questions that maybe someone here like TC88 could answer.
At the top this is what is written: 7/9 Montana State vs. 16/13 UT Martin
Is that really our record and UT Martin's record?
With that record we were awfully lucky to get an 8 seed but I like our chances against UTM. They must be exhausted, having played 29 games.
On the same page you can find the following:
RECORDS: Montana State is 9-2, 7-1 in
Big Sky play. Missouri State is 8-3 overall, 6-2 in the MVFC, and beat UT Martin
in the first round of the playoff s.
Missouri State has to be pissed, having won the playoff game but not getting a chance to keep playing.
If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

Interesting note (not sure if it was posted elsewhere): Keon Howard is not on UTM's two-deep.

Re: Current Depth Chart
I think the 7/9 and 16/13 is the STATS POLL/Coaches Poll or opposite. As for Missouri State beating UT Martin and still not getting to play. SUCKS TO BE THEM! haahaJoe Bobcat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:41 pmThanks Vim, I appreciate the link.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 11:14 amhttps://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/ ... ayoffs.pdf

Vim- who recruited Tommy? What other offers did he have before committing to the Cats?

BJ Robertson and he had an offer from the Griz. The biggest takeaway I got from this article was Tommy's commitment photo...two years in a college weight room does wonders. The Butcher wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 2:59 pmVim- who recruited Tommy?
