During the Apple Cup tonight, they made it seem like the coach that has stepped in is very well liked and has done a really good job since taking over. Wonder the chances they end up hiring him.

Winning the Apple Cup last night will go a long way for the current interim guy to be hired permanently.
I believe 40-13 is one of the biggest margins of victory WSU has ever had in this series.

Chris Vanini of The Athletic indicated last night that there’s a good chance that the interim guy gets the job.

Just speculating, administration probably wants to cleanse itself from the previous head coach and assistants. Cougars had a ton of seniors and were going to beat the 4-8 huskies, maybe they ride the post game celebration in huskies stadium and hire him as head coach.

They would be crazy not to hire Choate, if so how many former Bobcat assistants would end up in Pullman

It’s always interesting the career paths of some of these head coaches. Luck certainly played into Dickert’s hiring. He seemed to have a mostly journeyman career.

So there’s a DC opening? Gotta say, that looks like t would be a sweet stepping stone for Choate & far more likely than either getting the HC at UW or not getting fired at the end of next year from TX.
