Great reminder. It’s just a game. And they are just young men working their way through college so they can build a life like each of us strives to have. I appreciate their effort and enjoy the fun they provide to us each Saturday afternoon. Nothing is guaranteed and not everything goes our way even when all the pieces are in place. 30 years of running a business reminds me of that nearly every day!

Perhaps rewatch the video. There’s more than one message there. Pay closer attention to what he says about Texas A&M and LSU, etc.

TC, you post on this board as much as anyone so maybe include yourself in taking sports to seriously.

The whole system requires us to take it seriously. Folks that don’t care also don’t write checks.

Saban has moved many kids in and out of the starting lineup and has been more than willing to make tough changes in pursuit of winning. His point is that the kids want to win more than anyone and he is correct but that doesn’t mean that coaches who are not putting our best product on the field are beyond critique. He never says that.
