@Helcat72 ,
From my point of view (trough a camera/lens) neither the players nor the coaches quit at anytime during the game. The players (MSU) believed that they were going to win just things didn't go as plan. You can learn a lot from losses like this one. The playoffs are ahead.
Multiple factors contributed to it:
1) Hostile environment
2) Questionable calls or no calls by the referees, ie: No call hit out of bounds on MM after his long run, multiple holding by UM players OL and their TE (#11), a couple late hits one on Ifanse and another on Lance while being stand up by a UM defender by another UM player, the hit on the back during the botch field goal, several cheap shots by #8, #37, #58 after the plays was over.
3) The stadium music (while MSU on offense) stay on longer than the norm, in most cases almost up to the time Matt was under center.
4) Luck went the Griz way it happens sometimes
5) Several UM players played well
6) UM Fans also made a difference
etc, etc
I am optimistic that both players and coaches will learn from the loss and be better in a couple of weeks or in the future.
Cheers, Felix
