Oh boy...queue the Griz fan triggering in 3, 2, 1.
In all seriousness, three Griz were good enough to be in the conversation this year with O'Connell & Ford having the stats to back it up with Lewis having the pedigree and steady play. Troy simply just got better throughout the year and was a primary reason why we are so good defensively in 2021.

Also- UM had 3 players on same team splitting votes. Troy has the potential to get drafted and played like it.

Re: Troy Big Sky DPOY!!
His impact was felt on more than just the stat sheet. Games like Eastern where he didn't make a tackle but ran EB out of bounds for no gain, he made all the difference in the world. Those are 5+ yards gains against other teams. Wasn't he 2nd in the BSC in tackles too?VimSince03 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:18 amOh boy...queue the Griz fan triggering in 3, 2, 1.

Well deserved honor for one of the greatest Bobcats to ever lace them up!
Let’s not cheapen the honor with talk about the school of dance.

Agreed. I'll stop.
Where Troy started the year against Wyoming (up and down game still feeling out the position) to where he is now (DPOY) is just a testament to how unbelievably good he is at football.

Well done Troy!!!!
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

While those players in Missoula might’ve been good enough to win the award. Their extracurricular activities during the last game lost them votes. Troy doesn’t have that mean streak but he has the talentVimSince03 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:18 amOh boy...queue the Griz fan triggering in 3, 2, 1.

On the field stuff. If you were not at the last game quite a bit of it wasn’t seen on camera. Some of it was and you can watch it on the replay on YouTube of the highlights. From Mathew loves ball. My understanding is I’m not the only one that caught those activities on the field. Similar to the antics of what number 10 was doing in Missoula a few years ago that everybody forgot about and forgot who he was!ilovethecats wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:41 amWhat extra curricular activities?kwcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:34 amWhile those players in Missoula might’ve been good enough to win the award. Gotcha. I was at the game and guess I didn't notice anything. I guess I'd be surprised at whatever it was they were said to do cost them votes as this game is always fiery and I guess I just didn't see anything over the top.kwcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:47 amOn the field stuff. I saw a defense with great talent that brought the energy and completely shut our offense down. They were very impressive to me.
