I keep seeing people ask about Hosey on here but might just keep missing the answer, but with both our top 2 RBs at the very least dinged up if not out for next week, why haven’t we seen him yet? Thought last year he did well filling in for infanse when he was injured. If ifanse is out for next week, we can’t expect Sumner to handle a large workload by himself, yes we’ll have Mellot, but the Griz D is better than what some may perceive and I’d expect them to have a plan to stop him and let others beat them as far as the run game goes.
Yes, can someone please answer this question?
I have Brought it up in numerous threads, what is the deal with Hosey? Pre season everyone was thinking he would be the #2 back, or maybe #3 with Elliott coming on...
Is he hurt? Just not living up to the hype? Super confused as to why we have not seen him at RB? Especially yesterday with the top 2 guys out.... ???
Would you like the simple answer for why he isn’t playing?
TV guys were saying #18 is backup QB Sean Austin. I was thinking “I’ve seen Sean Austin, and that ain’t Sean Austin”
Not sure if they didn’t have an up to date roster or what, but that was confusing.
Who was 25 yesterday on offense? I am sure that it wasn’t Eli Abby.
Online roster says Andrew Patterson. Definitely not Abby. Haha
They’re both 25. I don’t get why Patterson switched, 25 is a weird number for a WR. Maybe they’re trying to get defenses thinking he’s a RB? I’m probably reading too much into it.

With him now returning some kicks I assume there’s a possibility he and miles jackson will be on the field at the same time.

So I sit down front in 102. Whenever the Idaho D came off the field they came and sat right in front of us and their one coach came over and went over things from the previous series. One time he did literally say to them “#24 is a RB but 25 is WR, make sure you know that.” I doubt that is why he switched but you aren’t wrong that it is a bit confusing.
On a side note, looking at their site it looks like that coach was Vernon Smith, former Griz. Didn’t realize that yesterday but I was really impressed with his coaching and teaching listening to him all game.

Vigen said it's a leg injury and that he's "largely dealing with soreness." Any speculation what that could entail from medical professionals on here?
Coach speak? Gamesmanship?
Guess we'll know for sure on Caturday!
I think it's intentionally vague. Could be nothing, could be a torn ACL. Ifanse is probably oponents' biggest gameplanning focus and they would change dramatically whether he's in our out. Ideally I'd like to know for selfish purposes, but I understand why a coach would be intentionally vague. I would imagine that Vigen knows whether or not ifanse will play on Saturday.

I think this is spot on. As a fan of course I’d love to know. But I’m putting zero stock into what we hear in press conferences this week.
Maybe he’s fine and will likely play. I really hope so.
But if he is out, there is no way a coach is going to say so this early in the week. You want as little info out there as possible.
Yep, agree! In fact I'm surprised Vigen says as much as he does about injuries. He mentioned it was mainly a soreness deal, which if true is pretty good news as it means he's almost sure to play. Bobby said he'd be shocked if Ifanse doesn't play on Saturday.

Has he done a press conference yet this week? Saw Vigens but don’t know when Bobby does his
Those are just so hard to watch.
I know it’s beating a dead horse complaining about Hauck, but damn…
Just the definition of coach speak with every answer, many of which are about 3-4 word answers.
The awkward silence between questions, you can just feel the reporters aren’t sure what to ask next.
The players rarely are up there with a smile on their face.

Why? We can beat UM without Ifanse. He acts like he's going to play, because that's our only chance. You'd think he'd have learned after Troy (shocked?) didn't play last time and we crushed them. I kind of hope Ifanse and Elliott don't play, then Sumner and Hosey and Martin just tear them apart.
On the other hand, I don't think Vigen has done anything surprising/gimmicky all year. Have we thrown a halfback pass, flea flicker, or run a reverse all year? No need.
