Didn’t Mellott graduate high school in 2020? I don’t believe there are any track times from his senior year because of the covid cancellations.

Edit: #27 Connor Ryan ran a 10.90 in 2020...and if you saw his tackle in the 2nd half where he made a TFL thats not surprising.
He’s one to keep an eye on. He and Taco Dowler were returners for West when Ryan was a senior and Dowler a sophomore. Two D1-level returners on one high school team.

Once he hit our 35 I knew it was a touchdown. Nobody from CP was going to catch him.

I would shorten it to The Silver Streak. Reference to Silver Bow Co.

I believe Colt Anderson is the butte missle, so that’s taken. I like Tommy Montana, but could also go with The Walkerville Warrior,

I didn't notice Tommy was in at QB, then when he broke the run open I thought it was TA at first. 16 looks a lot like 15 on a jersey... and both can run!
I made the same mistake at the Hillsboro State game and didn’t know it was Mellot until checking this board after the game. I though maybe Troy had to change jerseys to play offense or something because of dual numbers.

Yes. Those were 2019 times for TM.

The Brent Vigen in me says "Great run but without the blocking that created a huge hole at the line of scrimmage ....."

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Connor is faster than his dad, who was a hell of a RB at West and for MSU and also a very good baseball catcher until he stopped playing as a HS junior to concentrate on football.

Ryan, Dowler, and I’ll throw in Ortt as three young speedsters with Billings West connections.

100 and 200 times don't automatically translate to the field. The eye test has never failed me though. Troy has it. Travis Jonsen had it. Prukop and Shaun John had it too.

Mellott definitely has it... AND he can throw the rock. Make no mistake about it...DCs will need to account for Tommy or they will pay the price.
This is how championship teams are built. Tommy’s going to get quality Wildcat reps behind a top 10 FCS QB for a couple years, then is going to be off the charts when it’s time to take over.

The long term talent the Cats are stockpiling is pretty amazing.

Absolutely. We were talking about that in our section yesterday. Consider Mellott throwing to Jayden Smith in a few years? That will be a lethal combo.

I believe Colt Anderson is the butte missle, so that’s taken. I like Tommy Montana, but could also go with The Walkerville Warrior,
Touchdown Tommy.

Anyone have this kid's book when you were young? I did and I have it saved somewhere. My mom got it for me when I was about 6. We didn't even have football in Hinsdale.

He was so un-touched that Robbie was only credited with a half-tackle.

Robbie has been piling up tackles 1/2 a tackle at a time. I watched their game and about a third of the time he jumped on top of the pile after a tackle. I suppose they gave him half-a -tackle most of the time.

It was a nice play but Jeffrey Manning had a bigger impact in the game.

#5 was my impact player of the game.
