Conference play begins! I think a lot of us were of the belief that PSU might be a trap game and our first conference test before the season started. I for one don't believe that in the least anymore. PSU is once again not very good. Davis Alexander is a threat so they may get some yards but our D is not going to give up many points to this team. Cats March in to Hillsboro and get another big win.

While Barney's a great character and fun for interviews and apparently will buy you a beer if your team is from Western Oregon, his teams tend to be undisciplined. Bobcats will march in and rip Barney's team apart in a methodical manner. 35-0 at half time and then a the second unit gets some playing time. Three quarterbacks see playing time and final score 51-3.

Sheesh, I'm confident in this team too but PSU is not Drake or USD, and it's a road game. Davis Alexander will be the best QB we've seen this year and Anthony Adams is the best CB in the entire conference.

We are a top 5 team despite what the polls say. Top five teams blowout bad teams despite the venue. Time to be confident in this group.

PSU is hard to get a read on, just looking at box scores. They have 2 fairly respectable losses to FBS teams, but just a 21-7 win over a D2 school... weird.

Its a conference game, and a road game, so I think it will be much more competitive than the last 2 games for MSU. But the Cats should still win by double digits.

I really think this team is special and now we will begin to impose our will. 51-7 CATS. We have to pound them at home more than the griz did in zoo town.

If we don't come away with a few-score victory I'll be a bit disappointed. Wins are wins and all that but this seems to be a game we should win handedly in my opinion.

PSU did not look good against WOU. Sure, they have a good QB and CB. The game day atmosphere is a joke and MSU fans will outnumber Viking vans 2:1, if not more.

I'm thinking more of a 35-14 type of deal, in favor of YOUR Montana State Fighting Bobcats.

This! Lot of confidence on this board but the Alexander kid has moved to 3rd all time behind Neil Lomax…he is no slouch!! My prediction is there is no way we leave allowing 10 points or less….our defense is good but this good??….too much confidence.

Heck PSU has put up over 400 yards in all 3 games against the likes of Hawaii, Washington State and Western Oregon. Scored 24 points against WSU and 35 against Hawaii in road games. Averaging over 300 yards per game passing but not much of a rushing attack….and defense can be had with a rushing attack….Hawaii ran for 268 yards on them and WSU 159 yards.

So I predict 31-24…Bobcats in a hard earned victory…. Guess I am just wary of a road game. Need a good pass rush all day. Hope the run game opens up and controls the game and our passing attack is on.

The only thing I worry about is the Cats having the right motivation/energy. Against Wyoming it wasn't hard to be motivated...first game in forever, playing up. Gold rush speaks for itself, and even last week at home had to be pretty exciting. Going into a terrible environment, you wonder if they can play as hard as they have the first three games. I do worry less about this under Vigen than I did with Choate, but I think it's a real thing. I predict PSU leads in the first half and the Cats just take over the last 2 1/2 quarters.
