HELL YES! Ifanse currently his #5 pick on offense, and he has TA at #1. Go get em boys!

1. Troy Andersen, Montana State LB

Statistics through Week 12: 111 tackles (57 solo), 9.5 TFL (33 yards), 2 sacks, 2 INTs, 7 PBU, 1 FR, 1 QBH, 1 TD (11 games)

You have to look beyond the numbers to know Andersen’s impact on the field. While he is disruptive and makes plays everywhere, how he makes those plays is something else to watch. At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds and arguably the fastest guy on the field, Andersen is one of, if not the most gifted athletes in the FCS. He can fill the A-Gap, close off a running angle outside the tackles, or run stride for stride with a slot receiver in coverage.
He’s so obviously the best defensive player that they should just give him the award now. It almost seems unfair. It’s like they’re teasing the other candidates.

Captain Obvious post…..I love Troy. We should all enjoy these playoff games. It’s been a treat to watch him play and we’ve been lucky to have one of the best Montana athletes ever entertain us.

Excited to see what the future holds for him but bummed that we are coming to the end of his time in Blue and Gold.

This is most likely his last game in Bozeman, which should be plenty of reason for everybody who is able to get to Bozeman this weekend. Forget what you feel about the OC or even Vigen--get there for Troy Andersen! And if I'm wrong and MSU wins Saturday and then beats SHSU and SDSU comes to town in 2 weeks, I don't think anyone would have any regrets about being at the game this weekend.

^^THIS! I can't imagine any real fan skipping the game just because we lost Cat-griz, or because we looked poor in that showing. That was one game and it's in the past. Time to move on. This Bobcat team has a chance to make some noise in the playoffs and they need each and every one of us in the stands this Saturday.

Everything from the bottom of the third round up is probably going to be around $900,000 and up. I believe it was in the $800,000s last year. A good combine or pro day could push him into the second round.

The 92nd overall pick in 2021 slotted at 4/4.48M.

So barring something catastrophic, he'll probably do nothing but move up from there based on playoff games and combine results... but guessing it would be a tall order for him to go in the 2nd round as I predicted after his Freshman season. 3rd round draftee ain't too bad though if it happens! :D

As of right now, the 92nd pick belongs to Tampa.

We all know he will play on Sundays. I wonder if when that time comes to end if he will jump into coaching. He would make a hell of a coach.

He'll turn some heads at a combine. I was talking to one of the players recently who said nobody (nationally) really realizes just how athletic he is. This guy said he's going to get in there, run a good 40 time, then have a 40 inch vertical jump at 240 pounds or whatever he is. 92nd is a great draft spot for an FCS player, but I wouldn't be surprised if the combine moved him up.

Do playoff games matter in the Buck B. award? In other words, is the voting done already?

I was just thinking about that. It isn't presented until the night before the national championship game so maybe the ballots aren't due until the end of December which would increase the chances that voters are taking the playoffs into account.

How cool would it be to see him suited up for your favorite team? Oh, wait, …😊

A national panel of more than 150 sports information and media relations directors, broadcasters, writers and other dignitaries vote on the award's winner, based on players' regular-season performances. Voting is conducted before the start of FCS playoffs.

I was pretty sure that was the case but rather than guess I looked it up.

I didn't read that far this time but it's been the night before the championship game normally.
That's only 39 days. uffda
