Jory Choate is someone I've not seen.
He was in at linebacker in the 4th quarter against San Diego. I think he had 1 or 2 tackles.

There was a questionable forward pass I thought he was gonna pick up and return for our 3rd defensive td in the 4th

I didn't see the 4th quarter so that is why I haven't seen him. :)

Made a nice play getting to the sideline last Saturday. Looked fast to me. Started backside in about 3rd position, but got the ball carrier first. I'm wondering if he'll have more reps with Askleson out.

He also plays on special teams.

He had two tackles vs San Diego, I think at LB.

He's also listed as the back-up long snapper.

Tyson Regimbal. I thought that the few times he saw the field in 19, he played well. When will he be healthy?

Areta is way too big. He's not going to be effective until he cuts way down.
He ain’t no Vita Vea.

Hopefully at some point he’ll be able to play 15 or so snaps a game, but yeah, there isn’t a lot there. Doesn’t push the pocket, doesn’t move laterally. If they run right into his gap he should be okay.
At 320, he could be a player.

As mentioned earlier, he collapsed the pocket pretty well more than once light in the San Diego game

I think the hope is around mid season.

At his weight, with the restrictions it places on his movement skills, he is not going to be able to impact the game against legit FCS competition.

Pushing the pocket a little bit against a bunch of non-scholarship OL at a bad program doesn't move the needle for me.

I think, generally, fans get really excited about these huge guys, but it's consistently players in the 275-300 lb range that really make a difference.

NICE! That's great to hear. Does anyone know the injury status of Sain, Rygg, RJ, Sumner?

I'm fairly sure that during Cat chat Coach Vigen said that Sain could see some time this week but that Rigg is headed for surgery and is gone for the season. I don't recall hearing anything specific on the other two.

Won't need him. Let him recover one more week. Blow out of Hillsboro state college.
