I think that’s the first extended interview I ever seen Isaiah do. Awesome!

Yep, I have been super impressed with pretty much every single player interview I've seen this Fall. Just a lot of really solid, well spoken, mature players on this team. I always forget just how young these kids are, so that's impressive.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I was impressed with Vigen at this interview, especially when he discussed Patterson's EZ flip.

My perception is that Coach Vigen is getting more comfortable each day with the PR aspects of being a head coach. I also feel like he is very comfortable when he is talking “football” as compared to other related topics. He really knows the game and I enjoy listening to him. The last QBC was super interesting as he analyzed lots of good and many bad plays.

Yes, it's pretty clear on where he stands on that stuff.

I like him more and more as I hear him more and more. I suspect the buy in from the team is complete!

It is clear, but he's also diplomatic about it without being a pushover. It's a fine line there as you don't want to go overboard, but need to be completely understood. Bosses/coaches that can do that are rare.

The picked up a sense that he was happy he had a teaching opportunity, and not just for Willie, but the whole team. It shouldn't ever be about the individual, and the backflip made the celebration about an individual. What about the line that created the necessary protection, and what about the QB that knew where to go based on coverage and then delivered a strike? It was a perfect opportunity to instill a core value needed to maximize this team's potential.

Yes, those were great details that he brought forward for Willie and the entire team. He played it very well IMO.

I agree! All 11 on the field should’ve done a flip!

Ha, that's exactly what I said on the podcast - fine, just get 2-3 other guys to do a flip with you and it's all good.

Nice write-up on Pickering but he most certainly did appear in last week's game against Drake. It appeared that he was on some pass routes but he didn't have any passes thrown his way. He did plenty of blocking and was on some special teams.

I believe he also had another injury that held him up for a bit too. We can only hope that he continues to play for the Cats for multiple more years but having been in school as long as he has he may be close to getting his degree.

Colter, thank you for the great content. You guys do a great job.

One thing to point out; it seems you all never mention Rylan Schlepp of Gallatin High School when talking about the Cats' Montana commits.

And if we're talking actual in-state recruiting battles, the "score" currently sits at 3-2 in MSU's favor. As far as I can tell, there are 5 committed players who were offered by both schools -- Huot, Crews, T. Dowler, Mastel, and Abbott.

Someone else pointed this out on Twitter! I can't believe I forgot Rylan Schlepp. He was great on my show!
