Re: Injuries
I was a fan of not playing in the spring and I still am. These are college kids, not robots. Whoever participated in a meaningless spring season shot themselves in the foot and it’s showing late in the season. Bodies can only take so many beatings.

Re: Injuries
We need to remember also that they lost Benson with little time to prepare. Defense improved as game went on and longest play given up all day was 12 yards

Re: Injuries
Same here and I stand by it. The spring season was dumb and it’s good MSU opted out from it.

Re: Injuries
Unless of course your Sam Houston or NDSU. Both seem to be rolling along and SHSU won the spring title and played a lot of games.

Re: Injuries
Here’s how I see it: SHSU can have the spring title, perspective is reality, I don’t think anyone from Montana is kicking themselves for not having a spring trophy. SHSU has enjoyed a ridiculously easy 6 game schedule thus far and doesn’t have a note-worthy opponent insight to cap off the year. NDSU; they’re NDSU. The spring didn’t make them any better, they’re just always good…
Just my two cents: we are already banged up as it is, as a fan you wish they could play on Saturday and Sunday, I get that. BUT, imagine a spring season took out one of our top guys through December and now here we are in a parallel universe cursing the spring season.

Re: Injuries
I think a spring season was dumb regardless, but a spring season in Montana is very different than a spring season in Texas.

Re: Injuries
I know I’ve asked before but what’s the status of Tyson Regimbul? I truly thought he flashed a bit in 2019 and figured he’d be a solid contributor. Has his injury ended his career?

Re: Injuries
Don't think it's career ending. He is on the sideline in street clothes with his jersey on at every home game. He actively participates with the D line/Coach Howe while the O is on the field throughout the game.94VegasCat wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 9:41 amI know I’ve asked before but what’s the status of Tyson Regimbul? Re: Injuries
NDSU played with basically their "B" squad in the spring. Watson played, they had only 8 OL's available and they used a freshman QB, Miller. So I suppose a lot of them were "resting" for the fall.

Re: Injuries
It’ll be interesting to watch. Sacramento seems to be moving up the charts. It seems like with the schedule this year that there are more teams in the bottom half than the top! It’s really getting stretched out.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 5:20 pmThat might just be a case of finding the conclusion you want to see. Both teams have had fairly easy schedules so far. Other Weber and Missoula every other opponent on the two schedules was from the bottom half.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 4:22 pmI think the spring season is taking its toll. I’m probably wrong, but aren’t the only two undefeated teams in Big Sky play the only two that did not play at all in the spring — MSU and SAC? Some of the teams that did play seem to be fading just a bit.

Re: Injuries
They had s lot of starters playing still. 3 or 4 O Lineman and at least 7 maybe 8 guys on D. TE, Watson and all their RBs and FB. QB play may be their downfall in the playoffs.

Re: Injuries
This is not true. They played the same guys in the spring who they are playing now. They had one RB get hurt early so he was out. Where they struggled the most was at QB play, with their drop down struggling terribly (Zeb Nolan) and their freshman not much better. Their current QB (Patterson) wasn’t available. He has helped right the ship a little, but still struggles at times. In fact he got replaced last week with Miller (that freshman from spring) who led them to a win with two late TDs. Their schedule has been pretty soft so far overall and haven’t looked tjat great except for their win over UNI.

Re: Injuries
Ndsu has had an NFL level QB for 10 straight years now. Jensen, Wentz, Stick and Lance. All were drafted. Surely they can't keep that up, can they??

Re: Injuries
Cant tell if this is good news or not. Nothing terribly definitive in here.
But yes, I'll agree with KMAX that this bye couldn't have come at a better time.

Re: Injuries
Good news!
Truly one of the most perfectly timed bye weeks I can remember.

Re: Injuries
This is really, really, really good news. Especially about Benson. I was hearing that his injury might have been season-threatening.

Re: Injuries
I agree with that, but the verbiage of "hoping" they contribute isn't very definitive. And "some may have limited snaps" doesn't tell us who those "some" are or how "limited" the snaps will be.coochorama42 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 12:50 pmThis is really, really, really good news. Are we "hoping" chase can play for 2 series, but maybe he can't?
I'm just saying, not a lot of added clarity here.

I agree. I was HOPING to hear definitively that all those guys were close to 100% after the bye week.wbtfg wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 12:58 pmI agree with that, but the verbiage of "hoping" they contribute isn't very definitely.
