Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
update from Weber. Go Cats.
also for our weekly "whoever is tracking the stats is terrible" notes. I'm 99% sure Troy had a sack during the weber game, which is not being recorded? anyone able to confirm?
Also, Colter Nuanez kept posting that Hardy had 4 sacks in this game.... all the stats say 3... Anyone able to confirm this as well?

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
Troy might have had a half sack. Hardy had two solo sacks and two half sacks, which would be 3 or 4 depending on how you look at itmslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 9:34 amupdate from Weber. Go Cats.

IF and IF
we get two more games in the postseason and Ifanse averages 140yd/game, he could overtake Cody Kirk.

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
I’m 98% sure Troy had a sack. It was on a play action and he came right up the middle, didn’t fall for the fake hand off, and crushed the QB.
Some people are a lot like slinkies....... Not really good for much, but it puts a smile on your face to watch them fall down a set of stairs.

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
Watching the play, it looked like missed him and the qb slipped under him and was talked by another player.
Troy and a couple others were going at the QB/RB soooo fast they are stopping the play from developing but not slowing to make the tackle. Over running and players cutting back. Happened in several games.

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
You are watching a different play. Watch the first play of the second half for Weber offense. About 13:25 remaining in 3rd quarter. Andersen comes in unabated and would have made the tackle on the running back or the QB…and he tackled the QB alone….putting him on the turf.Montanabob wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 1:31 pmWatching the play, it looked like missed him and the qb slipped under him and was talked by another player.

Only thing I can think of is they are recording it as a “tackle for a loss” rather than a sack….but to me since QB didn’t hand off it was a sack. Judgement call I guess. But a big disruptive play to start the half and certainly set the tone for the second half D.

He is credited with 10 touchdown passes on both msubobcats and the Big Sky website but I’m pretty sure he has thrown 11. Looking at the box score on msubobcats they credited Andrew Patterson with a 44 yard catch in the Northern Colorado game but no touchdown. Just wondering if anyone knows a way to get this corrected.
I keep my own tallies and have a system in place to verify data and many times I'm at odds with the official stats.
What they should do is add up everything from the play by play and if it doesn't agree with the totals, then track down the source of the error and fix.
soooo, its 13? is this confirmed? the MSU website says 12...… I will change the front page to 13 I guess... Why is it so difficult for MSU to correctly track this stuff. This is pretttty basic math we are talking about, like 1+2+2+1, and so on.... Isn't MSU an engineering school?

The msubobcats website. click on football. click on stats. and it says he has 12 passing touchdowns this season...?
It’s actually fixed, but a new XML? needs to be uploaded to the website.
Tomcat- any update/confirmation on the above? Total TD passes by McKay this year.
Thanks

Glessner matches Cunningham for the 4th longest field goal in program history, pretty cool stuff
Fun fact I saw both of Cunninghams in Eastern and then glessners bullet today

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
And he's also having a helluva season in general. He is second in the BSC in accuracy (15/18) to the ISU kicker, who has only attempted 8 FGs. He's first in scoring amongst kickers and second overall. Only one other kicker has a FG over 50 yards, but that kicker is only making 54.5% of his kicks to Glessner's 83.3%.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 10:30 pmupdated from Idaho State.

Ifanse (907) is 244 yards ahead in the rushing title race. MSU has four players in the top 25 in rushing yards per game. Ifanse, Elliott, Mellott and McKay.

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
#1 on the career yardage list is probably out of reach for Ifanse this year, but I think there's a decent chance that he could surpass Cody Kirk for #2.
