Better work on that system a little more. McKay had 11, Rovig 1, and Bauman 1 through five games. McKay now has 13 through six games.Cledus wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 8:12 amYeah, I noticed that too. There are lots of errors throughout a season. I feel like this is a manual process with no review procedures in place, so there are bound to be human errors.Cowboycat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 6:27 amI noticed an error regarding McKay’s stats. He is credited with 10 touchdown passes on both msubobcats and the Big Sky website but I’m pretty sure he has thrown 11. Looking at the box score on msubobcats they credited Andrew Patterson with a 44 yard catch in the Northern Colorado game but no touchdown. Just wondering if anyone knows a way to get this corrected.
I keep my own tallies and have a system in place to verify data and many times I'm at odds with the official stats.
What they should do is add up everything from the play by play and if it doesn't agree with the totals, then track down the source of the error and fix.

No, he threw a few. But we're talking rushing TDs.Montanabob wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:15 pmDM

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
I think you're mostly right about that. He couldn't have carried it all the way to the end zone or he would've been credited with a TD. I think he should get five yards though. He may have carried all the way to the 1/2 inch line, but official scoring can only give him to the 1-yard line. Play started at the DRA06. So probably should have 65 yards total for the game.Cledus wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 4:30 pmIfanse actually had 66 yards against Drake, but he's only credited with 60. On that play where he fumbled into the end zone and Ryan Davis fell on it he's officially scored with a carry of zero yards. The down and yardage was 2nd and 6. He carried it all the way to the end zone before losing the ball, so he's getting gypped out of 6 yards. I know it's not a huge number, but it could be important at the end of the year.
I've made an inquiry and it'll get looked at, at some point. Probably not real soon.

**mslacatfan** I think you put that on the list. Do you know what it was? It wasn't Paul Schafer or Ryan Johnson,
I just got that info from those Sunday notebook game recaps that MSU releases. So that’s all it said at the time....

soooo, its 13? is this confirmed? the MSU website says 12...… I will change the front page to 13 I guess... Why is it so difficult for MSU to correctly track this stuff. This is pretttty basic math we are talking about, like 1+2+2+1, and so on.... Isn't MSU an engineering school?

Where on the website are you reading this? By my count McKay has thrown for two TDs in each game except one. He had three in that one.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:46 pmTomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:20 pmBetter work on that system a little more. I don’t see Ifanse mentioned in your post I quoted, so that’s probably why I thought you were talking about McKay. He’s the only one mentioned in the quoted post.Cledus wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:59 pmI was referring to the Ifanse carry, not McKay or anyone Cowboycat mentioned. I addressed your post about the Ifanse carry in your post about that.

Re: 2021 Bobcat Record Watch
UM's Murdo Campbell, who just passed away about a year ago, ran for at least four and threw for two back in the mid-50s. He's my good friend's uncle. They put the Brawl of the Wild flyer in the paper every year and it has a couple paragraphs from each game. Pat Kearney's book "Divide War" might also be a good source for Cat-Griz Game records.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:39 pmTomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:09 pmThat's true, but Hass had four TDs at most.
