Great man. Great family. I'm happy he finally gets peace. He's had a rough few years.
RIP Bruce!

So sorry to see this. Every time I saw Bruce, from the late 70's to a couple of years ago in Billings, he always went out of his way to be incredibly kind and helpful. He was an excellent sports broadcaster as well as Athletics Director. RIP Bruce.

I've known Bruce since the late 90's. He was certainly the best ambassador for sports at MSU, Carroll and Rocky. His friendship will be missed by all of us at MSU.

I golfed with him after I wrote an editorial for Bozeman chronicle. It was titled Hey Chuck, you suck. Whenever he introduced me to people from MSU. That's how he introduced me.

While at Montana State I had a chance to get to know Bruce. He was a great guy and very welcoming. I had the pleasure to get to know Bruce personally and loved having dinner with him and his family. He will be missed.

I'm not sure Bruce would ever say anything bad about Lindemenn, but I had the impression they weren't the best of friends.
I honestly thought Bruce was going to get the AD position after Lindemenn "retired", but no dice. Bruce never said anything bad about MSU, even after getting overlooked for the AD position.

Bruce was awesome - always upbeat and ready to share a joke. I saw the pics of his Celebration and it was great to see Chief Abel there. In 1986 when I was a redshirt freshman Bruce walked into the locker room and presented me with an action picture of my first official play as a Bobcat against Nevada Reno - with Derrick in the pic as well. I still have that picture and couldn't believe that he would take the time to do this for a lowly scout teamer. The two things I will remember about Bruce is his gregarious attitude and the fact that he always put others first.
