Second team AA all state TE. I believe he led all TEs in receptions and yards.
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I'm curious how good of a defensive player he is. Vim, do you see him possibly moving to that side of the ball at MSU?

Re: Rylan Schlepp Commits!
Well... I am not VIM, but I do follow Gallatin High and Bozeman High pretty well....
Schlepp is a very good get. We was out his sophomore season with an injury, so has really only played one year of Varsity ball. Last year at Gallatin High he was the main focus in the Raptor passing game, and by mid season was seeing double teams every time he went out. He is very physical when the ball is in the air, and has good hands and instincs when fighting for possession. Raptors didn't have a great year passing the ball, so they relyed on the run game (sound familiar). Rylan should have a HUGE year his senior year, as the Raptor program is a year older, and has some very good talent and depth at the QB spot. Schlepp plays both Football and Basketball with a great "mean streak". He fights for EVERY ball that is even close to him. Was one of the top rebounders in AA last year, and isn't afraid to mix it up physically.

Re: Rylan Schlepp Commits!
Was he always going to be a Bobcat if he was projected to have FCS-level talent? Looking at his Twitter the only other offers were the smaller MT schools.

Not many Montana kids get out of state offers after junior year. Especially if they didn't play sophomore year.coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 1:22 pmWas he always going to be a Bobcat if he was projected to have FCS-level talent? I think he was referring to the Griz. Was there any chance he would play for the Griz and is that why they didn’t offer?Montanabob wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 2:26 pmNot many Montana kids get out of state offers after junior year. Griz specifically but the region in general (EWU, ISU, UI, UND) although I know that almost no Montana kid plays FCS football for a non-MT school.Cataholic wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 2:31 pmI think he was referring to the Griz. Has wanted to be a Cat his whole life:

Excited to finally watch some High School FB this fall. Just from Schlepp's tape, he'll be a fun one to watch.

Sounds like a solid kid, excited to see how his career plays out. Hoping he turns into the next great gallatin valley product!
