I guess the issue is what are we looking for for a quarterback? Vegan seems to be looking for a pro style quarterback as opposed to a dual threat quarterback. What do we need going forward?

Reed committed to Montana State on June 10. He graduated from Central Union High School this spring with plans to join MSU in January as a grayshirt.

Does this mean he's not going to attend MSU until spring 2022? If he has graduated HS and is coming to school this fall wouldn't he be grayshirting then rather than in January?

He's not enrolling this fall, but will enroll for Spring 2022, which begins Jan. 19th.

Hmmm. I think I remember VIGAN making some comments that he prefers a dual threat QB over a pure passer?

Reed sounds like a really good athlete. He led his basketball team with 21.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 blocks per game. His football stats aren't too shabby either. 60% completions, 10+ yards per attempt, and a 16-1 TD-Int ratio. That would be a 203.6 passer rating on the college rating system. His high school's enrollment is over 3,000.

If you assume Wentz and Allen are the type of QB's Vegan likes both are very good runners but as a last resort. They are pocket passers but can move very well.
