Seemed more like an article just introducing him to readers/fans. I try ought it sounded like they had had one spot wide open on the line. I am guessing he is in the running for that slot.

Ya, just seemed a but strange the way they wrote it - but reading it again it seems a bit more clear. I think it's a lot like what we're seeing with or O Line. Initially we lost just one starter (and then Wood after that), so then the other four are a bit in flux as they try to figure out where they fit. Not that they aren't all going to start, but where. So usually a team has those 8 or so guys at the ready. All said, if he cracks the starting lineup that is very impressive and good for him.

Missouri has four returning starters along the offensive line with two spots, center Mike Maietti and right guard Case Cook, believed to be locked in.

On the left side of Maietti, left tackle Zeke Powell and left guard Xavier Delgado are back in Columbia for 2021.

The one vacancy is at right tackle, as former Missouri standout Larry Borom was chosen in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.

First game in and looks like Wood is the #6 OL. Came in the second half and played some snaps at LG. Something like 27 or 29 snaps total, can’t remember which.

Like I said when he made the move- his best chance at the nfl was staying and being an all American at MSU.

Yikes is right. I happened to listen to a few minutes of Mizzou/Vandy the other day as I was flipping through trying to find another game on the radio. Mizzou was struggling with Vandy's pass rush and the announcers (Vandy's) were saying Mizzou's OL was undersized for the SEC. Considering UGA has what some have called the best defense ever, that might be a tough day. Fun experience either way though!

Maybe he played and did well, but I don't see his name on the participation report for the Vandy game. Perhaps they just do this weekly for transfers. They probably don't have a lot of transfers that play a lot, so they have to give it to someone that is doing well in practices or other areas.

Most likely will start the balance of the year. Replacing a two year team captain who is out for the rest of the season with an injury at RG. Georgia this week will be the ultimate test.
