I guess I didn’t get the punchline, then. Go away and stay away. 48-14.

A little surprised Troy is the Second Biggest of the 1's on Defense ?
Ya, I mean he's a big strong LB, so it's not surprising that hw should be the biggest player out there not on the D Line... so should maybe be 4th or 5th now that we've moved to a 4-3. That said, D end, pass rushers, etc don't need to be 280 pounds... but he certainly shouldn't be bigger than whoever starts interior D line. As others have said, I think a couple transfers there are on the way.
Sorry. Size doesn't matter, ability does. So I am not worrying about size, ability matters. Let's see what happens in the fall. Says the guy that was all state class b at nosegaurd at 163 pounds.

So what is the status of Casey Bauman? Was he held out of the spring game due to injury? Where does he stand in the current quarterback mix. I can’t help but wonder what he would look like as a tight end. He has NFL size and as a QB the smarts to adapt quickly. With his height all he would have to do is is run to the first down marker, stretch his arms up (if he can jump even better) catch the ball and step out of bounds - first down! Even if he was only utilized as a situational player it would be an interesting experiment. Of course he would have to have the aggressiveness needed to block and hit people. If it appears he will not be getting significant playing time at QB his physical talents should be put to use elsewhere.

Bauman broke a rib, he may have been 2nd in the depth chart if not for that.

275; 6-5.
Rygg was great in the scrimmage by the way. One of the better players on a defensive line that got abused for most of the afternoon.

Yes, and he's now ahead of Rollins on the depth chart. IMO we have one very good DT IBenson) and two good DTs (Rollings and Rygg). Rygg's development is very nice for the team.

Elijah Elliott is no surprise but I hope the Cats don't lose Hosey to the portal.
I mean...that's just the kind of the way its going to be from now on. I'll have a "way too long" post about what I saw live vs. after I watched it on YouTube from the spring game but RB depth chart after the game looked like this:

1) Isaiah
2) Elijah
3) Jaharie
4) DeMareus
5) Sumner

And I would have no problem with any of those five being the starter.

Man, I can imagine a pretty smoking return team with the possibility of Charles Brown and/or Elijah Elliott returning punts and kicks this fall. The Cats haven't had that sort of a threat in a long time.

Guessing, we'll see a good rotation at RB, keeping guys healthy and fresh.

Don’t forget Sumner returned one for a touchdown to last year that was called back!

Coy Steel did great returning punts in 2019.

Totally agree, we need to make recruiting 163 pounds nose guards with a motor our top priority. lol

I know a guy that was 6 for 8 and a good basketball player. Never played a game of football ever, but had a big frame. Stanford football recruited him because he was smart, good foot work, and a big body they could develop. At the college level size is a very big determining factor.
