Between Taylor Marcum, Taco Dowler, and then Charles Brown and Andrew Patterson (already on roster) there is a lot of speed.

They’re really working on getting some big hog mollys and then complementing that with speed. I love it.

I thought the Cats might lose Marcum, but I just noticed that he made his Bobcat commitment photo his profile image on Twitter yesterday and put ‘Montana State commit’ on there too. That’s a good sign. Let’s hope that Boise State stays away from him.

It ain’t over until he signs. Just the way recruiting is these days. And now with the portal, it really isn’t over until they graduate.

Hope he stays though! He’s good.

It’s not even over after they sign. The Cats have lost a few players over the past few years after signing day.

MSU has to release them from their contract if they choose to do that. It’s fairly rare.

That’s one way to get out of a contract. The school doesn’t have to release them though, but they normally do. Other ways an athlete can get out of the contract is to go the JC route, just sit out a year, or decide to just not play.

The Cats lost at least four players during the Choate regime after signing day.

Junior Bergen being one of those.

I bet in 10 days he will regret the choice of Missoula.

Well yeah, you end up with guys who don’t academically qualify, or transfer out for various reasons. That’s not terribly uncommon. What Junior Bergen did is more uncommon.

One young man got an offer from the AF Academy and Choate let him go. I don’t know of any that didn’t qualify academically, but there may have been one, the safety from Washington, but we don’t know that for certain. One kid, Donny Long, just got home sick.

AFCAT - you have Dru spelled Dry on the list.

He’s a 247 3-star.
